Newberry Fruits 200g (Pack of 3)

Good old Newbury Fruits - sweets of Childhood Xmases! Difficult to get in the shops. WHY is that?? My only 2 complaints are: they do seem sweeter than I remember but I don't have the "sweet tooth" I used to have, plus I didn't want 3 boxes but this is the only way I could get them on Amazon so it cost me a lot just to sample sweeties of "yesteryear". Ended up giving 2 boxes away. PLEASE, PLEASE SELL THEM AS INDIDVIDUAL BOXES AS I WON'T BE PREPARED TO BUY 3 NEXT TIME!

Pleased with the product and very prompt delivery, however have marked it down a star as all three boxes had only a month left on the 'best before' date. This is bound to happen with stock control on an odd item but for all three boxes it is a disappointment. Many of the comments speak of this as a 'treat', an old favourite tracked down for an indulgence - but if you plan to put them in a cupboard and enjoy them over the months this wouldn't encourage you.

Very high calories for what you get, 16 sweets in a box, almost encased in sugar with the syrup in the middle, they have about 700 calories per box.They're very nice and that's the problem, you want more and more and more and they're not good for you at all, probably some of the worst sweets out there for sugar intake.If you can control yourself well then by all means buy them but if you cant then avoid them.Diabetes in a box

Consitently good product. I but these every Christmas for my Mother. They never fail to live up to expectations. No low sugar nonsense, no "improved recipe", just the same great product every year. Please, Meltis, do not change a thing.

These Newberry Fruits are lovely,but a bit dissappointed in the jelly texture as it used to be quite a smooth harder texture,and the centre used to be a really crunchy sugar,with a lovely fruity liquid,bit dissappointed in them.

I really enjoyed these but wondered if they’d been sat around for a while as the crystallised sugar containing the liquid centre had dissolved in a lot of them

Haven't seen these in the shops for years, and my hubby loves them, so I got some as a treat for Christmas. The inner sugar thing that holds the liquid didn't seem quite as crisp as I remember, but in my opinion, they are far superior to other gels or pastilles for flavour. As a gift I would prefer to receive these than many brands of chocolates, since they have a clean, refreshing taste.

So simple to order, my mother loves them and now I don't have problems trying to find them in the shops. The only downside was they were not very well packaged and one box had been dented. If for myself would not have been a problem, but was a present.
