Solved glugging noise
Water now goes down the sink much faster and has stopped the really loud glugging sound even from the bathDoes make a sucking sound but much quieter

Stops gurgling
Fitted this on our sink in the bathroom. Very easy to fit. Once you run the tap it makes a noise but don't be alarmed. Give it time and the noise will stop. Probably that just the trap getting primed. Before fitting this the gurgling was very bad and lasted a minute. With this, it's dead silent.

Usual McAlpine quality. This trap replaces an identical but faulty one on a commercial urinal (water was sloshing out of the breather), which might (or might not) have been 5 or 10 years of age, who knows.Works perfectly, doesn't let water out, success.
