SGR by Schecter C-1 Electric Guitar - Brown

Having been a hobby guitar player for the past nearly 6 years, I have previously owned a cheap Career Stratocaster, a more expensive LAG Arkane A200, and this falls brilliantly in the middle. The price is astonishing for the quality. I have the satin black finish, amazing look. As long as you oil the fretboard and change the strings upon arrival, this is truly a great guitar. Nice tone, comfortable playing, nothing to complain. Great first guitar for that metal enthusiast. And you can always brag that you have a Schecter...

Absolute bargain i have a Schecter c6 already and the quality well its definitely not a fake i could tell as soon as i touched the neck and body it had the feel my other Schecter has. So happy i bought this i got it in 2 days not a single scratch on the guitar very well packaged. Neck profile is near enough the same as my c6 pickups are great got the Schecter tone. Im really happy. Best guitar you can get on Amazon.

String broke after just 1 day of use. Never seen that happen with any other guitar bought. Disappointing, everything else about this guitar is very good. Just a bit of a let down the string broke after less than a day of being bought.

Arrived on time, adequately packaged. Purchased as an Amazon Warehouse deal at approximately 38% discount on normal price. Described by seller as "as new" . Not blemish free on inspection. Due to the discounted price I can overlook the minor aesthetic shortcomings which are not obvious from a distance but can be seen when handling the instrument. From the practical and player viewpoint, once you quickly become accustomed to the 24 fret neck, this is an excellent instrument, well balanced, not too heavy, comfortable to hold and play with a well shaped and contoured body and neck, reliable tuners, possibly Ernie Ball Slinky strings, with versatile sounds from the twin humbucker pick-ups. The natural sustain (when played unplugged) is very good.

I love it. This guitar is great. The pickups sound nice. The body looks amazing (it's sort of glittery, and it's electric blue of course) It has 24 frets. And the strings, I'm not sure what gauge they are, but they are thin, this guitar is perfect for standard tuning. For lower, the strings will need replacing.

I only have this guitar since may and I really loved it (still do in some point)Just recently discovered first damage on it - after couple of months!Have a look in the pics (white dot)It’s still playable, still decent guitar ... but, for little over £200 I’ve paid for it in may (today around £150 😱) I didn’t expect to have such a silly, annoying defects - I really care about my guitars and I never had anything like that. So I am assuming it’s just quality issue. Disappointed by Schecter ...

Really great pick ups. Personally I needed to change the strings as due to the heavier metal sound I prefer. Smooth playing. Great sound. Loved the Matt black

Although this guitar is a beginners guitar, the quality is something left to be desired. Twice I have had to return these guitars with the same electrical issues. The first time the volume and tone controls were defective and caused defective sound quality from the guitar, also there was a large chip out of the neck. The replacement guitar sent, had exactly the same issues with the volume and tone controls and a loud crackling sound when the controls were turned. The guitar plays ok but is massively let down by the electrics.
