This is exactly what I needed. I wanted to install a light in my closet that would come on when I open the closet door. I ran this around the door frame on the inside (it happens to be EXACTLY the right length to go up one side, across the top, and down the other side of a standard doorway). Then I plugged it into an outlet paired with a motion detector. It works perfectly, and lights up the whole closet nicely. Also, the adhesive works great and it's easy to apply this thing to the wall. Just peel off the back paper and press it against the wall. Btw, one of my favorite things about this is the mechanical switch/dimming knob. A lot of competing light strips use wireless remotes (that are all hideous and horribly designed for some odd reason). I needed something mechanical so I could leave it in the "on" state and control it at the outlet.

These were easy to put up, and work exactly as described. I love that they're not overwhelmingly bright, but bright enough. The warm light was a good choice. It's plugged into one of those annoying wall switches that controls half the outlets in my room. The LEDs come on immediately when the switch is thrown; no warm-up time needed. My one wish would be that it came with some extra cable for the dimmer, along with way to mount the dimmer switch more fashionably, rather than just having it dangle there in line with the power cord. Maybe you could include a little mounting box with some 3M wall tape, or something, so I could thread it under my desk and mount it to the underside of the desk. But that's more of a wish list item, than a real gripe. I could have bought a model that had a remote control, if I really wanted to dim it that frequently- which I don't. The light is great as-is; I'm giving it the Ron Popeil treatment - set it and forget it. I would absolutely buy this again for another indirect room-lighting project.

Not a safe product ! The light kit came with a Built-in dimmer. The ability to operate the light without the dimmer existed due to the way it was engineered. When we removed the Built-in dimmer and attempted to use our wall switch dimmer the lights did not operate normally (flashing). After several hours of not being used but still plugged-in we disconnected the lights to find that the plug housing melted (see photo). I'm thankful we caught it before a fire started. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT !!!

Once installed, they work great. The inconsistencies I had experienced were: 1) some images would show a power supply that was split with two separate light strips over with the same total length.What I received was a single strip in reality, that is what I wanted. 2) I ordered several of these and some came with a 9 V power supply, and some came with a 12 V power supply. The 9 V did not always work. They are were prompt in providing replacements, and again that inconsistency persisted. Because of their excellent customer service I would definitely recommend these as long as you're willing to spend time on interactions with the company before they get right, but when they do get it right, it is a good value.

This looks pretty but came damaged--the last line didn't worked --first i thought to replace than i didnt as the replacement might have same issue--so i kept the item--see photo attached

These were better than I expected! So easy to put up and such a nice light. They just transformed my pantry!

I bought this to place around the vanity in the bathroom to act as a nightlight. It works well and gives a nice glow. It was easy to install too. I hope it lasts.
