Women's Speedcross 5 Gore-textrail Running Shoes

Great shoes , comfortable, lightweight and waterproof! Used while travelling in Peru during rain season and it was everything I could ask for! Highly recommend

I read the reviews (sometimes conflicting) about size. I can take a 6.5 in some brands, but usually need a 7. I tried the non-GTX version (purchased by mistake and returned) and those were slightly too roomy without socks (just tights). These GTX ones feel very slightly smaller, but still fit, and I suspect will give because they are well padded. If you want to wear thick socks from the start, maybe go a half size up. But they are padded and warm enough to get away with thin socks anyway. In all other respects they seem great. Comfortable from the start, light but robust, and they allow a good heel to toe gait with push-off from the grippy sole coming slightly up the toe. Perfect for hiking in a warm country (which is what I wanted them for) or the UK (unless you're going into boggy terrain or through deeper water!).

Completely waterproof, very comfortable however, I purchased my regular size and they are a little on the snug side and tight with walking socks on. They can also become like skates on some smooth surfaces. I would still buy these again just the next size up.

Great hiking and trail running shoe, good grip with arch support. They are defo waterproof

I love these in fit and grip, but am on my 3rd pair in only 2 years as they just fall apart. I am not THAT enthusiastic of a trail runner so I feel they should last me a lot longer. I mostly do tracks and fields, perhaps 3-4 times per week so not massive demands on my shoes. I give three stars as they are so comfortable I can put on a new pair and run. BUT I take away two stars for falling apart ... Actually came to Amazon to order pair number 4 when it asked me for a revgiew of pair numebr 3 !

Speedcross 5 is Just perfect

Ich bin normalerweise ein riesen Fan vom Salomon Speedcross GTX und trage dieses Modell auch schon seit einigen Jahren. Der Speedcross 5 entspricht allerdings nicht meiner Erwartung. Nicht mal ein halbes Jahr getragen und schon brechen an beiden Seiten am Knick im vorderen Bereich ganze Stücke aus dem Obermaterial. Der Schuh ist relativ teuer und normalerweise kann ich die Schuhe mindestens 1 Jahr tragen....... In diesem Fall stimmt Preis und Leistung für mich leider definitiv gar nicht.
