Some so so movies, but contains the classics.
Overall this is a great box set, especially if you can get it at a decent price (under £10).48 Hrs is a classic movie, Murphy and Nolte work together so well- and James Remar is great as the no nonsense villian.Trading Places feels just too 80s and a little dated, but it is good enough still and contains great actors like Dan Ackroyd, Denholm Elliot and the best here- Jamie Lee Curtis who steals the show.Beverly Hills Cop, this is when Murphy was GOLD in Hollywood. Another excellent movie from what turned out to be a dire franchise. This remains a classic 30 years on.The Golden Child- does have a bizarre story line going for it, but when all is said and done it feels a bit generic.Coming to America was a huge hit in the 80s and for most of the time it does work, some great comedy moments. But like most 80s comedy, the plot is too far fetched and we get a fairytale ending.Set is wrapped up by the awful Norbit- they might as well have stuck Adventures of Pluto Nash on here instead.Great for Murphy fans, but these movies underline that the funny one was all washed up after the 80s.
