Quest
I am trying to replace my old, worn, very big plastic dish drain. This 1st try has produced mostly good, with some bad qualities.Good: size, color, as seen in pic #3 the utensil rack and drain spout (longer than others I have seen) both extend into sink and drain nicely, no leakage, the metal rack is sturdy/strong, extra cup drying rack is a bonus (moveable to all sides or inside). Inside prongs to hold plates work correctly to keep them upright. (Another smaller returned rack had plates falling over.)Bad: as seen in pic #1 the plastic base is flimsy. I have discovered, tho, since starting this review, several places on bottom of two plastic base pieces do snap into the metal bars running across the bottom of metal plate rack. Allows whole rack to be taken apart for cleaning. Getting these all pushed into place seems to steady and strengthen the entire item. Also, where I thought there were no holes in utensil holder for drainage, there is a slot to the side.I've kept this 1, but am gifting to my son for his AB&B. I ended up purchasing the Joseph Joseph Expandable and it was the best choice for me. That said, I believe this is an overall good model for the money.

Easy Set Up
Really like this product. Works great in my Kitchen. Easy set up. I like how it goes from small to big easily. Great for single retired person. Bought the black. Easy storage.

Holds a lot, but doesn't cost a lot!
Really researched dish drying racks. I wanted decent sized, good value, and options putting in my dishes. So very happy with this. Great price! Sturdy! Has a spot for silverware and separate area for knives! Bonus! It can pull out for bigger washing days and fold in for day to day. Very, very happy with this. Also, pretty stylish to have sitting out on the counter.

Tricky to Assemble
I was excited to try a new dish drainer as our dishwasher broke and our old wooden drainer, which was a workhorse for over a decade, finally broke from the weight of dishes (family of 6 here). I liked that the new one would expand, and most importantly drain into the sink, unlike our old one, which always soaked the mat underneath it. Unfortunately, although the idea of this drainer is solid, the drainer itself, is not. It feels rickety and the drainer often slides off the rack that supports it. It does work, and holds a lot of dishes. So we are going to keep it. I enjoy having a silverware spot for the first time, and the knife holder is great. I think the nature of being designed to slide in and out makes it feel unstable, and of course the metal is very light. So it's not terrible; it just doesn't feel secure like our old one, but it will work till we fix our dishwasher. It was on sale, so considering I just spent a little over $20, can't complain too much.

OK but needs assembly instructions
This story has a happy ending, but…the first thing that happened when I opened the box was that the unattached (expandable) part of the base flew off to one side. I slid it back to where it appeared to belong but (from the top) I couldn’t see any way to fix it in place. So the whole thing seemed very flimsy to me and I was disappointed in the product. Also, I propped the drain above a bar (it seemed like it was supposed to be there) but it turned out that that prevented the water from draining properly. After I put away the first load of dishes that I washed, I turned the whole thing upside down to see if I could figure it out. That’s when I saw two little hooks for affixing the sliding base in place, and I freed the drain from the bar that was holding it too high. After that everything worked fine. All this could have been avoided if some simple assembly diagrams had been included.
