Confirming own thoughts about individuality
I've often instinctively felt the things that Osho writes about. But having it in print gives self validation - enough to feel motivated in everyday life and accept what happens with peace. This book is great as it talks about being yourself in a world that conspires against your individuality. I've always felt strange and odd and different for wanting a quiet and peaceful life. Osho here makes me feel confident in trusting myself and own gut instincts and it's just beautiful easy reading.

straight-talking description of who we really are
I have avoided all the writings of Osho - a purely prejudiced act on my part influenced by bad publicity in '80s. This book is fantastic. A clear description of how we learn to be false from all the influences around , parents, teachers, priests, politicians and don't get a chance to discover our true selves. No dogma, doctrine in this book. Just powerful teaching to help us rejoice in gratitude at who we are. AAD

A book with meaning
I ordered OSHO book "Living on Your Own Terms" as a gift for my son's birthday. I was happy when the book arrived and he was surprised because he had intended to buy the very same book. The book is really interesting. I will be buying one for me, my daughter and my son-in-law. The book arrived in good time, long before 2nd Feb and in good condition. Thanks Book Depository

I love Osho's books but I have not found it as easy to follow as some of his other material. Very thought provoking which I love, I think I need to give this one a bit more time to understand.

I came into contact with Osho`s "work" just a few years ago. I daily read some of his stuff. His books help keeping me on track to becoming more and more me, and helps me live my life and not all the others life! Read his books with an open mind, chew on it, and take whatever you can use :)

I feel that Osho is a great master to be inspired by
The first Osho book I'd ever read. It certainly prompted me to buy more. I feel that Osho is a great master to be inspired by. If this was the only book you ever read, then you would have a pretty good chance of living an abundant and enlightened life! Great stuff!

If you love yourself - if you honor, respect, treasure and appreciate the one life that you have, then drop the masks of ideologies, the masks of indoctrinations and the masks of religions; gather "The Courage To Be Yourself", to "Living On Your Own Terms", and you will learn "The Art of Living and Dying" and won't have to keep asking "What Is The Meaning of Life?" You will know it and you will be free - free of all addictive attachments, free to enjoy your own company and free to enjoy the power of meditation. Those messages are echoed in some way in all of Osho's books and particularly in the ones I mentioned in this review that was intended to be specific to "Living On Your Own Terms" but turned into a short general commentary on the essence of Osho's teachings. I've found that irrespective of what one writes in reviews, readers may improve their perceptional understanding of or fill in some blank or blanks in some aspect of life for which their were missings links. Your need or strong urge to know will guide you to the right book. I thought that "The Art of Living And Dying" would have been the last Osho book that I would read. Not so! I recently bought from Amazon.com "What Is The Meaning of Life". I couldn't resist the title and am elated that it was published. It's a gem for me and the best of Osho. If you appreciate Osho's work, you too may want to buy it. Living On Your Own Terms is defrocking yourself of the many masks you are wearing and burst forth in all your resplendency and enjoy the freedom it brings - breaking the chains of all the prisons that hold you hostage. May you find all the pieces to fill in the blanks in your jiggsaw puzzle of life.
