Very easy to set up and it's the perfect size - big enough to catch all the seeds but not so big as to be unwieldy. Quality wise, I'm not sure how it will hold up (I will definitely take it down during the winter) but I think that at the very least any damage would be easy to fix.

If you have a windy backyard - avoid this style of catcher.Not the catcher's fault but it will basically become a sail in the wind and flap your feeder everywhere or if you have an unsecured pole, pull the pole off. Your backyard MUST be sheltered from wind to use underneath a free hanging feeder like in the photo on the box.I ended up cutting a hole in the middle and fitting it over the pole of our feeder underneath another sturdier catcher, as a secondary catcher. It works better this way for sure, but this means that in order to clean it properly I have to take apart the entire feeder set up, which is very difficult in the winter. That being said, it has been a great aid in our fight against rats, and the birds love to sit on it too.

We put a bird feeder out on our back deck, and what a mess! There were piles of spilled seeds and seed husks all over! I considered taking the feeder down because I don't want to encourage rodents. Then I found this little contraption and decided to give it a try. Voila! Works like a charm! It catches about 90% of the spillage and keeps my deck so much cleaner. The doves, who can't sit on the little perches, walk around on the net and eat the seeds. It's very sturdy and has held up even through a pretty major wind storm. A clever solution to a common problem.
