## Description

Upgrade your dining room with the International Concepts Double X-Back Chairs, a set of two solid Parawood chairs known for their durability and eco-friendly construction. These 41-inch high chairs arrive unfinished, allowing you to paint, stain, or seal them to create a custom look that perfectly matches your home decor. With a comfortable 18-inch seat height and sturdy hardwood frame, this pair offers both classic style and reliable support for everyday meals or formal gatherings.

Review: Solid and attractive. We love them! - Upon opening the well-packaged chairs, I was immediately struck by the attention to quality that had clearly been paid by whoever made these. I expected raggedy drilled holes, nicks, wonky parts...the usual sort of stuff you'd expect from DIY furniture. I was prepared to need to do a little fixing up, but there was no need. All hardware was present, all surfaces were smoothly sanded and unblemished, and the screw holes had no tear-outs. All parts matched well and lined up properly. The chairs were easy to put together (must note that we did use a drill when it came to attaching the seat) and are level and rock solid. They are very attractive and a huge improvement over our old, smaller chairs. The seats on these are wider and the X backs have full back height. They look fantastic and we really love them. My initial thought was that I'd be painting them and staining the seats, but they look great as they are in their natural wood, so I'll probably end up just sealing them with some polyurethane instead. We ordered the 16.5" Shinnwa chair cushions from desertcart and they are a good fit for us, but there is some space around the seat edges, so don't be afraid to get cushions that are a little larger if you want full coverage across the whole seat.
Review: Great quality chairs - These chairs are very solid. The workmanship and packaging were excellent. I thought the assembly was straight forward and easy. Considering the price, these are an excellent choice. I would absolutely consider purchasing International Concept unfinished wood products again. In terms of assembling and finishing the chairs, I used the following approach. I was vey happy with the result. Assembly - Although not specified in the instructions, I used wood glue (Tight bound III) on all of the the stretcher joints connecting the legs. I believe this added a lot of strength to chair build. - The chairs do not include feet, I added 3/4 inch heavy duty screw in sliders to each leg. Seat finish - Sanded 120/180/220. The seat needs to be water popped (wipe with a wet rag) and sand one final time with 220. after it dries - A pre-stain conditioner was applied prior to using a Varathane Gel Stain - Carbon Grey - Several coats of a satin water based polyurethane (GF High Performance). An oil based semi-gloss urethane would also be a great choice The chair finish (not including the seat) - Painted with Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra spray paint (dark walnut) - Once the spray paint was completely cured, painted with Behr Semi gloss interior paint (sprayed) - Randomly sanded the chairs with 120 grit to achieve the weathered look - Polished the entire chair (not including seat) with fine steel wool and paste wax (Trewax)

**Q: What are the measurements of the feet? I want to add small wheels of some sort as we are using these for a writing desk.**
A: I don’t think that would be a good idea. I think you would split the wood if you tried to add wheels. The feet are pretty small.

**Q: What kind of wood are these chairs made out of?**
A: They are made from solid parawood. Which comes from rubber trees in Malaysia. I love these chairs! They are well built and stain beautifully. You can't go wrong with these!

**Q: The holes for the side stretchers is on the wrong side of the front legs so cannot be attached. Can I get a new pair of front legs?**
A: Double check that you have the pieces oriented properly.  I thought there were some misfits, but after flipping items, came together ok.

**Q: Does the seat come unassebled from the rest of the chair? I would like to pad and upholster them.**
A: Yes. I Stained by charis before I assembled them.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Quality

These chairs definitely came better than we expected! Seems like nice wood, nicely sanded with no additional pre work needed, and very sturdy chairs once out together. We loved that we could choose how we finished them - however took much longer to finish the detail work than anticipated and about half way through we wished we bought them pre-painted. The chairs came with the main part of the chairs assembled (the double X’s connected to the main frame). This made it a bit difficult to paint due to all of the edges. We originally thought they were going to be fully dissembled which would have been easier to paint. Would 100% recommend these chairs as they came out beautiful!
