This little fish finder is great. Long battery life. It connects easy to its app on the phone and has multiple modes to view fish. For the money you can’t beat it.

I bought this for my husband, who loves fishing and gear. And more gear. And still more gear. He loves his toys! We took it out yesterday for the first time and were both amazed. It took almost no time to install and activate. It did exactly what it was supposed to do and was easy to operate. The screens are easy to read and have so many options. It tracks the water depth, temperature and will even tell you how fast the current is moving. There weren't many fish out and about, but this unit did see the ones we were looking for. It's an awesome, low cost and low maintenance option. We're taking it out to deeper water this week on the boat and have high expectations, given its stellar performance yesterday. It really did surprise us! You won't find a better fish finder for this price.

All in all it’s a great fit if you are just looking for something cheap and portable. Trolling behind a kayak I got a couple hours battery and it would occasionally drop connection but considering that’s not its intended purpose I didn’t take any stars off. The app is very good and everything seems accurate.

Took this little thing out to the lake and was really impressed. Setup was easy, it connected with no problems and has good range. It gave accurate readings and showed fish with no problems. Was able to find and catch a large pike with the help of the lovely little pod. Very excited to keep using it.

Exactly what I needed

This worked two times, and now it won’t charge or connect. This is basically single use and toss.

A floating fish finder was something I always wanted to have. I had real envy of those rich guys that had a boat and a fish finder. I had always fished blind from shore. If I got a bite, there were fish. Otherwise, I’d figure there weren’t any fish and I’d go home grumbling about the black cloud hovering above my head. But, it might have really been that fish were just at a different depth, too small to bite over my hook or a little off to the side. THAT was the advantage of a fish finder. The fish finder floated on the surface and could sense all around and down and give an approximate size of the fish. I had to use a heavy rod with a heavy line to cast it way out. I was afraid I’d cast it out and break the line. Most days I wouldn’t have wanted to swim for it. Put your shoe on a line and cast it just to see what I mean. Yea.

It is a sophisticated device in a sensible design- a bobber! Just make sure you have at least 10 lb. test line if you want to cast it out far! It has a good mass to it, and it floats like a bobber. You can also just drop it over the side to scan immediately below. In my case, I wasn't using it for fishing. I was getting a basic look at the bottom of an old swimming hole near us, looking for signs of hazardous objects in the water! Underwater fishing cameras don't work well in water that is not clear. It is not a substitute for a diver inspection. There were some curious graphics I determined were bottom muck and weeds. I did not use it for fish finding though, I just think it is a great product, and I find young people are fascinated by it. It can serve as an educational tool that is fun.
