Cheap, quick, easy, and effective solution for 10-year-old Windows laptop with obsolete WiFi card
True plug-and-play for 10-year old Dell Latitude E5540 laptop running Windows 10. Seamless install, gave me access to two different WPA3 networks that the builtin Intel AC1760 (?) card did not. 47 Mbps down and 26 Mbps up speed test through an asymmetric 1 Gbps (down) ISP connection. Range was good but did not explicitly test it. Longevity? Durability? Who knows. It got me out of a jam on a trip, arrived next day, and worked off the bat.

Finally a USB wifi nic that works perfectly with Ubuntu.
Over the years I've tried several that caused problems and created error messages. This is the first that worked perfectly, right out of the box. I'm using version 18.04, in an old 32 bit computer. I can't speak to it's speed or range, I don't need much of either. I use the Mate desktop, if that matters.

Great little wifi adapter
This works great with Chrome OS Flex. The old PC I have does not have a wifi card built in. I plugged in this USB adapter, booted Chrome OS Flex from a USB drive, and the PC immediately recognized the card before installation. Reception is also excellent.

Plug and Play worked fine with Linux Mint 22.2
Worked fine with Linux Mint 22.2 on a 2012 HP Pavilon desktop. Plug and Play. No problem identifying the usb wifi device. No need for any drivers. It just showed up in the wifi choices. Clicked on it and it worked. (much better than the stock 2012 built in wifi card). I averaged 42 MPS download and 50 MPS upload across 4 speed test sites on 2 occasions. It was ok, not super speedy, but no super slow. It is tiny. And it did get warm, but i did not notice it getting excessively hot as some other reviews have noted. That being said, I went with another usb adapter whose speed was four times faster. Search around for linux wifi usb and you will find my other review and the one I kept.

Plug-and-play on Ubuntu (even on an old Macbook Air) and on Armbian
I bought this for my 3d printer whose built-in wifi just died one day. It's running Klipper (OpenNeptu4ne on an Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus) and the Armbian operating system detected it beautifully, even running on a usb hub. I've also tested it on a desktop and an old Macbook Air, both running Ubuntu 25.10 and it played very nicely.
