Yes, there are both ounce and mL markers.

Q: How do you reduce clumping while mixing? I've tried formula first, mix a little at a time, what am I doing wrong?

I made the mistake of doing the formula first the first time I used it. It's just too much formula for the water to get in there and mix it up very well, so I always put the desired amount of water in first then add the formula. It might be slightly less precise that way, but it's still pretty close and does a great job of mixing. I guess if you're really worried about being precise you could put in about half the water, mix in the formula, then add the rest of the water and mix it some more.

Q: Can this pitcher be sterilized in boiling water for 10 min? I didn't see that guidance in the instructions and worry about boiling plastic.

Yes, when I first bought it we sterilized in a pot of hot water for 5-10 mins. Other than that, we rinse it with the Medela soap and hot water. I wouldn't recommend using the microwave or dishwasher as these things can break down the plastic. Of course, that is being a really anal parent. Every two weeks I sterilize it again within a pot of hot water but I never use the microwave or dishwasher.

Q: what is the capacity of the pitcher?

I purchased this pitcher for my daughter so I don't know for sure what the capacity is but I know she mixes formula for an entire 24 hours in it. It's a must have item to mix formula! Absolutely fantastic. She has twins and they are both on different formulas so we have 2 of them. Absolutely love them.

Great mixer

I like preparing the powder milk with water in advance and this makes life easier. I was previously using it to store brastmilk too and used the mixer to break up the fat from the milk before pouring a bottle

I'm in the middle

I have a love hate relationship with this thing. We've had it for four months now and sometimes it will work and sometimes it wont. The handle at the top actually comes off (I assume for cleaning purposes) so when you're grabbing the handle and using it as intended to spin the thing inside to mixer the freaking handle will snap off and you have reattach it like ten times.
