It's a great heater for my parakeets

Living situation has changed so the birds sleep in the garage. Nights can get chilly. Works great

The cord is VERY thick and doesn't fit easily through the bars of smaller cages (parakeet cages). We had to bend the bars quite a bit and hopefully this won't be an issue when we take it out. It does work well though.

Did a test before I tried to install it: Plugged it in and gave it 30 minutes to heat up in a 75 degree F room... then did a temp reading, and it showed 100 degrees F with 'direct' contact... then left it on and moved the thermometer 1 inch away for 30 mins, and then it showed 78 degrees F... In a 75 degree F room!!! This radiates disgustingly!! And where in anyone's thought is this "forced air" per the description!!I bought this for an "outside wooden bird house" to keep my bird warm this Winter. All I can say is... I will have to improve on the design/usefulness/effectiveness of it before it gets installed. If you want an engineer to design an actual working and effective bird cage/house heater, then let me know. I'm absolutely sure I could design one much better than what you have sold me!!!The "only" good point is that it has roughly a 6 foot cord in total... which it's still nothing to rave about. Therefore, I do NOT recommend this product!!!... unless you plan on improving on it once received...

Got the heater for my new budgie he loves it, works as it says & very easy to put on the cage.
