Q: Previously gave up on full-sized acoustic due to being too big for me. Love the thinness/small back on this. How does it sound with that back, though?

I used to play only electric guitar. When I decided to try acoustic, I sampled different styles. I tried a Martin. Of course great sound, but big and hard to play. Costly too. I am not good enough to spend $1,000's on a guitar. I had tried an Ovation, and loved the feel of it. Very comfortable. Amazed by the sound too. Not a Martin, but really good. And affordable. So I opted for it. I plugged it into my amp and was amazed how it sounded compared to my friends' acoustic electric guitars that they paid big bucks for. So for me, Ovation was a great choice. BTW, Glen Campbell used to play one too. Not too shabby.

Q: Any idea where I can get a replacement tuner peg? Don’t need to fully replace one, just the twisting knob...

Sorry, I haven't had this problem so I really don't know. A local guitar/music store possibly, or check the Ovation website directly. Good luck. Even out of tune it's a great guitar. :)

Q: Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think this has a truss rod, does anybody care about that?

Mine has a truss rod. It came with the adjusting wrench for the truss rod. Would have a guitar tech do any adjusting however. Good luck!
