The instructions are poor. For instance, they tell you the camera will "connect to your wifi" but in reality, you have to turn off your phone's wifi and then the camera's companion app will turn it back on and connect your phone to the wifi network that the camera creates.There are lots of beep/flash combinations that are not covered in the instructions / FAQ so half the time you have no idea what is going on or what the error is.The video quality is good, but I could not get anything over 25 seconds in duration to copy to my phone and despite their efforts, iONs technical support staff were unable to help.The magnet is incredibly poor. Even the slightest knock will dislodge it. The lanyard isn't a huge improvement as it only connects to the bumper cover, not the actual camera, so again your camera is never entirely secure.I've sent mine back - it's just not worth the money or the hassle.

After 15 hours and able to connect it via the wifi. Bluetooth, and phone yet absolutely no functionality, but it takes decent photos and works as a pov camera fine so I keep it for that reason alone neither app works with the phone even though it connects but does nothing

Hardware mostly excellent, better than expected from the poor reviews (the little door over the ports works properly, opens properly with a fingernail, and does not break; the magnet stays on; the photos are quick).However, does not mount as Mass Storage Class on my MacBook Pro, which makes it a pain to use as (because the app doesn’t work properly on a modern iPhone) this requires taking out the MicroSD card and putting it in an adapter and then a card reader.UI/UX completely broken. EXIF data like time/date stamp should work properly on a life-logging camera because THE ENTIRE POINT is keeping a record/visual journal of one’s life. Even the kludge advised in the manual to use a text file titled set-YYYYMMDD-HHMM.txt came up with October 2061–and I was following the instructions exactly!App *eventually* loaded on iPhone—unfortunately it seems to allow me to use the iPhone interface to take SnapCam pictures—which is completely useless, since it is then slower and less high-quality than the camera app on the phone. What it should do (apart from messing around with the WiFi, which is also annoying, especially for people like me who aren’t trying to livestream everything directly to social media—that function also appears to be broken) is simply backup/view/store the pictures until you get back to the computer.This may be to do with my versions of iOS/macOS being 64-bit, but other stuff’s going to be 64-bit in future and it’s as well it doesn’t randomly break things.I’d give the hardware a three (three and a half if EXIF data worked) and the UX a fairly definite one, so that evaluates down to two.

Very disappointed after waiting 6 months for this camera. First of all it doesn't take 0.1 seconds to take a video or picture as advertised, more like a 1.5 second response time, it takes holding down the power button for 5 seconds for it to switch into a standby mode first as well, then every accidental knock to it there after (as it is touch controlled) results in it taking picture and video of things you didn't want, or even worst it stopping taking videos of things you actually want. There is no SnapCam software or support for the iPhone, this means it can't be used by the Ion App in the Apple AppStore, so no streaming, no configuration capabilities you are essentially paying almost triple price for a SnapCam Lite. I tried it with Android smart phone, it didn't connect with that either . I think wearing a camera is a flawed concept, a small wearable camera without a screen to see what its point at means you can't tell what is in frame or if the camera is at the correct angle when taking videos and pictures. Wasn't over impressed with the video and picture quality, I'm not digital photographer expert but I can tell the quality is much worst than my iPhone 5S. Also they it doesn't comes with a memory card, you think it would for £130, so you need to buy one to get it working. And finally beware it can fall off your clothing and be lost. So if you do decide to buy a SnapCam, put your contact phone number within a text on the memory card, offer a reward for safe return just in case. Also use the coloured bumpers that come with it, so this grey SnapCam stands out when dropped.

I bought one of these just after Xmas and was a little disappointed at first about the reaction time when I press on the camera for photos/videos.After getting in touch with their helpful support team, they advised me that a Firmware update could be downloaded from their website.This was easily done and I was really impressed with the results.The reaction time is increased ten-fold and although there are still a few issues with the app, it works great.Support have advised me that there will be more updates on the way soon so will be holding tight for that.When the slight streaming issue is fixed with the app, this product will be perfect.If used without the accompanying app, the camera works a treat!Just be sure to download the Firmware from their website!

Hi,I ordered one of these despite the reviews decrying it. I figured that no-one would release a product that was so flawed. It turns out that I was right.I originally installed the iON SnapCam app, and found it to be horribly broken. I then contacted iON support- who directed me to their new app "iON Camera+", which is much, much better, and works as expected. Updating the firmware also improved the responsiveness of the device dramatically.If you're unsure whether to order, I'd suggest getting one and trying it. If you're having trouble, the support is fantastic- better than the support I've had for any other electronics purchase.

Compre la camara porque tras verla a un precio de risa, me plantee comprarla, asi que intente ver opiniones por la red pero habia muy pocas y todas en ingles, asi que de todas maneras la compre. El envio muy rapido, desde alemania. La camara en si es pequeñisima, y es para usarla colgada de la camiseta o prenda de ropa, para lo que lleva un iman, primer problema: tiene muy poca fuerza, y con un movimiento brusco la deja caer al suelo, por lo que no podemos correr ni hacer deportes con ella. Segundo problema: complicada de usar, las instrucciones son muy simples y es dificil de enlazar con el movil a pesar de tener app propia. Al no tener pantalla no sabes si esta encendida, apagada, si graba, si no graba, si hace foto o hace video, vamos hasta encenderla es complicado. LaVerdad es que esperaba mucho mas, sobre todo por el precio que tiene. No aconsejo su compra ya que por ese precio tienes una gopro, aunque mas grande mucho mejor. Le pongo dos estrellas porque me costo 25€ que estan en un cajon sin poder usar. Una pena la verdad

(Au cours de mes essais, en plus de mon arrière plan, surtout ma tête entrain de regarder le SnapCAM pour essayer de voir et comprendre en vain certaines bonnes réactions de voyants ?)B) [...]Application (iOS & Android) pour upload instantané[...]:=> L'Apk internet iON SnapCom (qui n'accepte pas Android 4.3) semble orienté essentiellement vers les autres produits iON !=> Les notices papiers, aides, FAQ et tutoriels (du support SnapCam)sont simplistes voir non conforme(*), ou même n'aboutissent pas !=> Après l'installation de la mise-à-jour caméra, comme demandé par le site support,la connection wifi est longue et incertaine (attendre la Led-Bleu !)C) MON DERNIER ESSAI, en extérieur, donc en condition réelle (éloigné de la wifi):=> Plus aucune de réaction de l'appareil, malgré mes "tapotages" répétés sur le devant de l'iON SnapCam et les appuis sur le bouton marche ? (Toutes les 3 Leds restent désespérément éteintes, et toujours aucun Bip comme d'habitude(*), alors que la batterie est en pleine charge)=> NOTE: il est nécessaire d'enlever le contour en caoutchouc pour être certain de bien enfoncer le bouton marche(ON) pendant les 3 à 5 s demandées.

Die technischen Daten der Snapcam und auch die Idee der Befestigung mit Hilfe eines Magneten klingen erst mal gut. Aber dann kommt die herbe Enttäuschung, es funktioniert nichts wie erwartet. Die Bedienungsanleitung stimmt von vorne bis hinten nicht mit den Realitäten überein, die Android Software reagiert dermaßen langsam, dass sie unbrauchbar ist (es fängt schon damit an, dass nirgendwo beschrieben ist, wie die Software genau heißt und man sich erst mal im Play Store dumm und dämlich sucht). Nach einem Telefonwechsel bekomme ich nun gar keine Verbindung zur Kamera mehr hin. Die Webseite von ION ist genauso katastrophal, mit Hilfestellung von Seiten ION ist jedenfalls auch nicht zu rechnen.Noch nicht einmal der Firmwareupdate funktioniert wie beschrieben, ich habe auch keine Möglichkeit gefunden den aktuellen Firmwarestand der Kamera auszulesen. Ich hoffe noch darauf, dass ION mit der Software nachlegt, ansonsten ist dieses Produkt reinster Elektronikschrott.

Costa 20 euro, non pensate di trovare una qualità e soprattutto una stabilizzazione come quella della gopro.è un prodotto di fascia bassa per riprese e foto amatoriali. Ottima camera per un punta e scatta al volo oppure per un vlog rapido.Se cercate qualità alta andate su un altro tipo di prodotto.Per il rapporto qualità prezzo però non si può trovare di meglio!Unica pecca forse la compatibilità solo con sd di categoria 6 in su e soprattutto un casino incredibile per connetterla all'app per iphone e l'installazione del firmware...
