Protection, meh. Distinction and identification security, yes!
Daughter wanted this for her Apple earphones for school. Apparently, it is too easy for kids to swipe these little apple ear pod cases ($200) and claim ownership as they are all the same white case. Labels get peeled-off, and marker name is simply wiped-off. So, by having and showing all her friends- everyone knows that this distinctive case belongs to whom. Oh, and yes, she has already dropped it twice already. I gave it minus one star because it does not prevent the case from opening when dropped and the ear buds can fall out. However, there was no damage which is its true intended purpose. However, I was 'schooled' for the real purpose- and to protect my investment of $200, it is a 'yes'. Have your kid select the case design of their choice!

They are pretty and fit really well. I love the design. If you don’t want to spend a ton of money on a case these are perfect. Very durable!
