Simple and effective, works really well. Looses a start though as I'm sure the wire will break/stretch and it seems there is no way to replace/tighten it.It’s. now mid 2020 and just flicking through Amazon with nothing to during lockdown and came across my old original 4* review. It’s now a deserved 5* as the wire never broke, no rusting and still slicing cheese perfectly.

Boring bit out the way first, I take sandwiches to work every day and most of those days involves cutting some kind of cheese to put on a sandwich. I've got various cheese knives that all do an ok job but this is brilliant. It's fast, safe (no chance of cutting yourself) and makes perfect slices every time. I don't know if it's dishwasher safe or not, I just clean it in the sink after every use so I've got it ready for the next day. It's solid metal and feels very robust.

I really like this cheese slicer. It works best on semi hard to hard cheeses. Brie and other soft cheeses..not so much because they are all gooey and hard to cut anyway. What would make it fantastic would be a variable slice width option. This slicer is a bit chunky and you can't change it. Otherwise really good and saves a whole lot of mess and crumbling when hacking cheddar with a knife.

This is an excellent little device: even starting off from a badly irregular surface this eases the quick cutting of even slices of cheese. Angle it a little for thinner slices. If I somehow lost it I would definitely buy another, especially at the price. Its size is good for the blocks of Cheddar that we buy from supermarkets.

My Family used to always moan about me putting too much cheese in our sandwiches, which is very easy to-do when you use a normal / sharp knife.I never even knew about "Cutter Roller Blades" but decided to buy one & have ago. After a few small mistakes it works perfectly & just the right amount of cheese for the sandwiches.If you buy this & have never used one before please don't give up on it right away, try a few times & you will soon get the hang of it I'm very pleased with ours & bought another, just to keep as spare.

This is a convenient little gizmo, but it slices quite thick and the thickness isn't adjustable. Also it's difficult to not end up with a convex lump of cheese or worse, having the end of the cheese block break off during the cut. I'd say the chopping-board-with-a-wire-attached solution is a better option (there's a reason they use those in the cheese shop!)

I have never understood why it's now so difficult to buy this sort of cheese slicer in the UK. I have had an identical one which I bought in Denmark years ago, but after many cycles in the dishwasher it was showing its age, so I was delighted to find this on Amazon. Easily slices cheddar, for example, even direct from the fridge. Perfect for cheese on toast! Much easier than dangerously fiddling with a sharp knife, and proper substantial slices, too, not the thin flaky ones you get from the side of a cheese grater or one of those spoon-shaped cheese slicers.

Very robust cheese slicer. Feels like it will last forever. Make sure you slice top to bottom of the cheese so the slicer finishes on the chopping board and it will be the perfect slice every time. 👍
