Fantastic multisensory tools
Those students struggling with literacy have a range of multisensory tools and teaching methods to hand where those who have numeracy difficulties have less options of kinaesthetic tools available to them. This tool helps students with numeracy difficulties with adding, multiplying, length and much much more.My students are in early secondary school and they love playing with them and inventing new games to play with them - expecially with times tables. They arrived on time, were well packaged and were a lot cheaper than a number of other Cuisenaire rods out there.

Perfect Learning Tool
My daughter had been on and on at me to purchase these rods for counting, because her school has them and she was absolutely chuffed with the product. This is a great learning tool for all children especially when they struggle a little with maths. Fabulous product and a great price too.

Great product - I like the concept - thought the rods would be a bit bigger.
I wasn't sure what these were or how to use them; but the concept appealed to me in that it allows explanation of multiple maths concepts using a very simple tool. The cost was very reasonable so I bought them to "try out".Having played around & read the information book I can see these are going to be a great help for my daughters for years to come!Would have been 5 stars - but the rods are small ... perhaps I didn't read the description correctly but the smallest rod is 1 cm in length and less than that width & height.I will however be using them lots.5* Delivery - was well packaged & very prompt :)

Great
With the changes in the maths syllabus these are in fashion again, recommended by my 80 year old mother for my seven year old daughter to teach her fractions, they give a visual thing she can hold and divide so she can understand fractions

I'm disappointed with this purchase
I'm disappointed with this purchase. I have fond memories of playing with Cuisenaire rods when I was an infant and now that my son is starting to take a real interest in maths, I thought I would get a set for him. I hesitated over whether wood or plastic would be best but decided on the plastic in the end as the rods can be attached to each other, which I thought would appeal to my son. However, when it arrived several of the bigger rods are bent, so they don't line up together, and the advertised "storage tray" is just a very flimsy piece of cheap moulded plastic that was broken before we opened the box. Made me wish I had gone for the wooden set.....My son is not bothered by either of these though so we shall still be using them as we explore numeracy fun and games together.

good stuff
I got this for my 6 year old and hope it will make math more fun for him. I have not used it yet but have given 5 stars because it is well made and packed and looks interesting for a kid.

Good product with flexible use.
These came on time and well packed. Ideal for a 'lego' loving girl who refused to think about numbers. She's quite happy to even think about multiplication now.

Very disappointed!!
Do not be tempted to buy these. I bought this set of Cuisenaire Rods after reading the reviews but was very disappointed when I received them. They are very poor value for the amount you receive and the connectors make them impractical to use. There are only four ten rods so you can only count up to forty. Perhaps ok for a Reception aged child but very little use for a Year 1 or 2 child. I wish I had purchased wooden ones as they are easier to use. Once you have connected them they look like the same size rod making it harder for a child to visualise that e.g five lots of two make ten (5 x 2 = 10).My grandson has a set of Numicon which are far easier to use. I wanted him to have a different resource for his counting but they are more useful as a fine motor skills building set.

Super!
Pour un usage classe. Produit très bien, les bandes s'emboîtent + les unités sont marquées et vous pouvez prendre en parallèle les bandetelles aimantées qui sont dans les mêmes couleurs.

Great for homeschool
We love these rods for learning math. We home school our 4 year old and these are a great hands on tool. This is a small set enough for 1-2 students I would say. The tray it comes with wasn't useful for storing the rods in. Was flimsy and almost impossible to get the rods to fit back into it well. We just got a cheap pencil box or zip lock to store them in
