Greenwood Airvac RF90TW Recessed Bathroom Extract Fan with Timer

Straightforward replacement for an old fan with the added benefit of a slide out filter.

i had to replace an existing Greenwood Airvac extractor fan from when the property was built around 30 years ago. this model was an EXACT replacement size. a little bit of faff to get it installed but still only no more than 10 mins for a clean swap.no make up, no fuss, the pull cord can be wrapped up and left behind the cover plate.additionally, I ended up having to call Greenwood to get a suggestion on replacement fan, after giving them the model number of the 30 year old fan they sent me exactly what fan to order and which model, really good service from Greenwood.FYI the model I ordered didn't compare to the model listed on the packaging, but was definitely the correct fan when I opened the box.

Easy fit as it was replacing an earlier version of this fan, which had failed after 16 years...well failed to switch off anyway. I could also see that it would be an easy fit to a new location with just a simple bracket needed to fit between joists. Clearly, a fused lived feed and a switched live from the bathroom light is required, but would need to be completed or signed off by a qualified person.In operation, it's a little quieter than the old fan and also benefits from a dust screen, which should prevent the fan getting clogged. It also looks neater than the old version.All round, a good option.

Was surprised Greenwood still made this version of my extractor which was good as I didn't want to alter the cutout in the bathroom ceiling with a different shaped one. Everything is the same so was just a case of removing the dead unit and replacing it with this new one. This unit runs much quieter than the old unit so it must have been on the way out for a while. Set the new unit to run for about 10mins before it stops. Only disappointment is that Amazon sell the unit for £74 but after purchasing it I found it on the B&Q site for £20 less.

I replaced a 13 year old model whose timer had stopped working properly. The new one fits into the same back box, which made replacement very quick and easy. The dust filter should be a big improvement, as the old one regularly went out of balance (therefore noisy) because of build up of dust on the fan.

Had the old model in a house and fitted this as replacement. All components slotted together nicely and did the job within an hour. Part brand new and came in Greenwood box. Very happy

Perfect to replace my old 90b and 90t fans the new vent cover fits the old box which now has a mesh filter. Very good bit of kit and easy to fit!

Third one I’ve bought as replacement for one that is 17 years old. Fitted easily. Very quiet, very effective.
