Super bright and for a good price
These lights are super bright, very high quality and the price allowed us to buy plenty of them to light up our entire property. Being LED they are saving us a lot of money over the old halogen lights we had in the past. They claim that the amount of light given off is equivalent to the 1,000 watt halogen, but in my opinion they are much brighter. If you need brightness and security around you property I recommend you get these lights.

Excellent value
This is a great product at a very low price. I am a commercial electrician. I purchased 10 of these from a national supply house for a job. One of them leaked watwr inside and stopped working within a month. I later came across these on Amazon for less than a third of the cost and used them on another project. They were nearly identical to the other fixtures but I have had zero problems with the Amazon fixtures. I will be purchasing all of my pole light fixtures from Amazon from here on out. Amazon fixtures came within two days and the national supply house fixtures had a "manufacturing delay" and took 60+ days to be delivered.

Slipfitter included
Having the slipfitter makes all the difference. Aiming these lights make a huge difference. Needs vertical lift to cover large areas, which it does. Nice compact size for the wattage. Full size industry standard replaceable photocell better than mini size by other brands.

Elle a brisé après quelques semaines d’utilisation et le service est pourri. J’ai demandé un retour étant donné que ça fait plus de trois mois ce n’était plus possible , selon moi, je me suis fait avoir solide

This 150W light with photocell, pulls a little over 150W. When off, it pulls 0.5W to power the photocell. When you first plug it in, or when it gets dark, it takes the photocell 10 seconds to decide it is dark (I believe this is to help prevent flashing on and off). The light will easily fit on a 2 to 2.5 OD pipe (maybe a 1.75”?), and will slide on up to 3.25 inches. There is 16” of wire that come out of the mounting location. The light angle is very adjustable up or down. The photocell didn’t appear to be adjustable at all. They suggest that it faces North, however the only way I could see to do this was to mount the light facing north (mine faced that way, and I couldn’t find a way to change it. The one image shows it facing 90 degrees clockwise.. When I disassembled it, I noticed on mine that the wires leading to the photocell were “crushed”. This could be a poor install, or more likely it could be the norm. Inside there is a driver for the LED, which when opened further is totally set in an epoxy resin sort of material, that should keep it really waterproof. However this Driver is mounted really close to where the wires for the photocell come in, and it is very easy for these wires to get pinched as mine were. It appears that the casting is multi-purpose, and the LED driver didn’t 100% fit perfectly into the screw hold downs. I moved it to another location, that isn’t quite as square and doesn’t look as good, but it can’t pinch the wires anymore.. I have another JC-LGL light (without a photocell) and I like it a lot more. The one in this review flashes/turns on and off 60 or 120 times per second, the other one does not. As I mentioned above, the LED driver is encased in an epoxy that is sure to keep water out, however, some of the screws that face upward are recessed. To me this is a sure way to get water into the housing over time. I can’t comment on this photocell, but we have maybe 100 photocells at work, and it seems they fail far more often than the lights. In addition, sometimes they will flicker on and off, as the light they produce, changes the light the sensor sees, and it decides it can turn off again. Armed with this information, or just because, you may be like me, and want a light designed to go outside with this look, but don’t want to be limited to the photocell. A lot of people will just tape the photocell shut, however it can still fail. When you do this, there is also a 10 second delay each time you supply power to it. Thankfully bypassing the photocell was really easy. I started by cutting all 3 wires going to the photocell. There is a white (neutral) wire going to the photocell - this wire can be capped with a Marrette. The red going to the photocell goes to the black from the power cord. Essentially the neutral is there to complete the circuit for the photocell to work, but when the photocell says, “Hey give me light”, it connects the black to the red. However, I'm just a guy on amazon, so if you don't understand it, or can't do it safely then you might be best leaving it alone. Now for the dimming. If you want to dim this light, there are two extra wires(pink/purple) that are capped when you get it. It is designed for a 1-10V DC power supply, which is kind of a commercial/industrial standard from what I understand. So you can get one of those (I used this one to test, which goes from 3V to 24) , however there are lots out there. If you don’t want to go this way, you can wire them to a 20 k ohm variable resistor, since those two wires actually produce a little of their own power (0.5 mA aka 0.0005A to be precise). One wire goes to the centre connection, the other wire goes to either outside connection (one will be clockwise all the way is full bright, one will be clockwise is full dim). This is a decent solution if you only have one or two lights (2 lights = 10 k ohm). Some of the cheaper 1-10V dimmers appear to use this approach. Similarly, if you wanted a 25% brightness level for after you leave at night, you can wire a 5 k resistor into a switch connecting those two wires (pink/purple). Although I didn’t test it with this one, my belief is that a “normal” household dimmer switch will not work with this light at all. As the title states, I have another "UFO" style JC-LGL light and it is fantastic in every way.
