Stihl1.1 gauge chain

Having been disappointed with the quality of so called genuine Stihl chains purchased from Amazon, I wasn't expecting much with this product. I couldn't have been more wrong. I felled three 60 foot trees that were each 500mm diameter and cut them to log sized pieces. The chain was as sharp a the end as when I started - which was very sharp. One reviewer suggested these were not genuine Stihl. Well, every link is stamped Stihl and the quality is up to Stihl standard, so if it's not genuine someone has gone to a lot of trouble to fake something that is identical to the genuine article in both appearance and quality. I am so pleased that I have just ordered another.

I must admit to being more than a little sceptical when I saw the price of this chain, must be something wrong,after all I had been paying £21 at my local Stihl agents,and this was a good £8 less, can it be a genuine Stihl product? However I thought nothing ventured etc. Delivery took about a week, packaging labelling, the chain itself, everything identical, and it worked perfectly, so guess where I will be getting my chains from in future ? Buy with confidence, highly recommended.

Doesn’t seem to stay sharp for very long but otherwise ok.

All that you should or would expect, had not quite realised how poor my chainsaw had got, burning almost as much as cutting !, chainsaw now as good as new, whipped through a pile of logs in no time, no signs of blunting yet so cannot report on longevity but very happy with the performance and price. ColD.

Happy days, MUCH cheaper than buying from my local store. Now I just keep 4 or 5 as spares for when that occasional mother lode of wood becomes temporarily available. No point having access to wood and nothing to cut it with.

It is what it is. It works as long as it is kept sharp.
