Viking Revolution Solid Cologne Set - Variety 1-0.5 oz (4 Pack)

I'm lovin everything I buy from Viking Revolution. This is a great brand with very nice quality products. So after trying several of their spray colognes I gave these solids a try. Sweet! They are subtle, as described and as solids should be. These are so compact and easy to pack or carry. Scent mainly activates from warmth and after application. Dont expect to slide open one of the tins and get a blast of scent. But thats a good thing! They dont leave a trail, which again is just what many environments need! Like, an office setting. You wont overwelm others as you pass by. The packaging like all Viking Rev products Ive bought is high quality and very giftable. And they always include a great VR sticker inside! The tins inside are solid and have nice fitting and sliding lids. So fast & easy to apply. Everyones body chem and temps are different, but I would say for me two are a bit stronger scent and two lesser. This 4 pack is a nice assortment. Would buy again and recommend.

This is a great everyday cologne set with a good variety of scents to choose from. The solid formula is easy to apply and makes it simple to use just the right amount without spraying too much. The small containers are also very convenient for travel or keeping in a bag. Overall, these are easy to use, smell good and work well for everyday wear.

I dislike spray colognes, they're just too strong for me and most of them smell like alcohol to some degree (that's what makes them dry quickly, I understand but it's still unpleasant). So I've never really used colognes and when I learned you can get some in a solid form now, I wanted in on that to see if it was something I would like. I received the sample pack today and really only expected to like 2 of the 4 scents (I'm very particular and it's hard to say beforehand if I'll like a scent or not). I was pleased with 3 of them, so that was a nice surprise. The clary sage, as I expected, did not smell nice to me... but for some reason it is growing on me every time I smell it again. There's just something about it that really hits me in the nostrils initially, I guess. The tins are a nice design- rather than having to try to pry off the tops of these small containers they just slide open and closed, very convenient. I worry they will lose their scent over time due to not being airtight but they ARE samples. I noticed the regular sized containers are tins with actual lids so that concern won't translate to a larger size. I have not tried any of them on yet to see if they are compatible with my natural scent, so i can't comment on how long it lasts throughout the day- but it comes in a TIN that is easy to carry around or keep in a desk drawer etc, i don't see how much more convenient you can get if you do need to "refresh" later in the day. I'm not sure any of them will but that's ok- that's not the fault of the product, that's just a trial and error thing. 4 samples for $10 and each will likely last pretty long even if you use them regularly so I'm pleased with the value. Vetiver is the most mild and pleasant and probably the one I'll test first. Sandalwood always smells nice on its own, not sure if I personally can wear it successfully. Cedar and Pine is probably the strongest scent of the 4 and I'm not sure if I like it or not right now- the intensity of the scent is probably throwing me off. It certainly doesn't smell bad but you definitely won't need a lot of this stuff to smell nice. The sage is the 2nd strongest smelling. Regardless of what you get, a little will definitely go a long way and I'm looking forward to trying these out. If any of these ends up being a match and complements my natural scent you can be sure I'll be getting a full tin so I never run out!

I got this sample because I was curious what solid cologne was and how it worked. Pretty cool. I like the scents enough to get the sample spay bottles. I do not like patchouli, but this one was pretty good. My only issue is not sure how much of the solid cologne to scrape up to put on. I gave the 4 solid scents I got in liquid form to my roommate with an epic beard and we discussed how it could probably be used as a beard cream. I can see how they would be a good travel product as not chance of leaking and small enough for TSA to not care

I've become a fan of this type of solid cologne. First off, solids like this are easy to travel with, and secondly, they tend to be easy to apply. This is my Viking Revolution purchase so the small sample pack was an easy entry. I realize that scent is highly personal but I'd say that these deliver a quality fragrance; my favorite is the Cedar and Pine. Keep in mind that a little goes a long way and while the scent may not last all day, it will be there for a fair amount of time. This all sounds good, so why only three stars? I have found that the wax in this pack (maybe this is an anomaly?) is very hard. I am used to Duke Cannon solid colognes, their wax heats up very easily and while firm it is definitely easier to apply than this Viking offering. I have found that I have to use my fingernail to essentially scrape some of the wax and then rub it into my skin, this works, however, it's not what I was expecting or used to. If you can get past the hard/dry aspect of the wax, this is a good option to throw in your bag for a trip or even daily use. I like the scent, I'm just not sold on the application. Do I recommend it? Maybe, if you want the small size, this is a good option, but I would likely recommend the Duke Cannon full-size option due to its more convenient application. Will I buy it again? Maybe, I'm not sure; hence three stars for now.

This just feels perfect and true, not like some chemical swill from a lab. Clean elemental scents that instill confidence and masculinity without the pretense. They fit in your pocket and they are discreet. Well done!

Amazing scents! Very good price for just 4 containers of solid cologne. My wife loves when I wear the Sandlewood. I personally love the Clary Sage. But every scent is amazing and not too over powering. And will last a long long time. I recommend all of there products.

Just got these, have tested them for a little bit. I've used solid colognes in the past, specifically Juniper Ridge back when they called their scents "Big Sur", "Mojave", and "Siskiyou". The wax generally softer and easier to melt between your fingers than the old juniper ridge stuff I have. Makes it easier to apply. The tins are about on par with other solid colognes out there. Here's my initial feelings about the scents. Clary Sage- Nice, slightly herbal medicinal scent (in a good way) the way you expect sage to be. Wearing this one first as a test and I'm happy with it. Probably the most subtle of the scents I'd say. Vetiver- Kind of a leathery scent reminiscent of some aftershaves. I would say this is a little stronger smelling than the sage and I'm looking forward to wearing it. Sandalwood- I love sandalwood and have used a lot of sandalwood products over the years, including to shave with. This smells like vanilla. We'll see how it wears, but it smells sweet and strongly of vanilla. It isn't as strong as like... Bath & Body Works body spray for women but it reminds me of it. But it's stronger than the previous two, possibly because of the sweet scent. Cedar & Pine- Pine Sol. Strongest of the 4 by a country mile. This was the predominant smell coming from the box when it opened. This may work for some folks but basically it smells like I just mopped my floor and I don't know if I'll keep it, let alone wear it. I'm a big fan of cedar scents (I actually love Goodfellow's Cedar & Moroccan Mint shampoo) and while it's here, the pine smell just curb stomps everything. Between the Sandalwood smelling like vanilla and the pine sol tin, I'll knock a star off. However, that's me being picky. I will say that this is a subtle scent. Think of it more as an excuse to get in close than something that leaves a crop dusting when you walk by. That's how I generally prefer my colognes anyway so it works for me. Not sure how long it will last either but if it's anything like the previous solid colognes I've used, I'd expect it to last a few hours. It's not a 12 hour day kind of cologne. That being said, it's easy to refresh. Just remember to take it easy on the stuff. Don't let the 4 stars dissuade you, between the price and the scents that you get and work, it's worth a buy. And if you like and can wear the cedar & pine, then I'd say this is a 5 star buy.

It was a Christmas gift for my husband and he (and I) really likes them! Doesn't last all day though, but I imagine it'll be easy to re-apply if needed since you only need a small amount!

These smell really nice. Bought as stocking fillings for the men of the family - wouldn’t say they last as long as normal cologne but due to them being pocket size they can easily reapply! Happy with the product
