Varilight V-Pro IR, 1 Gang, 100 Watt IJ Remote Control/Touch Master LED Dimmer, Classic Polished Chrome

Bought as a replacement for one that 'died' (read burned out) after 2 years and it worked well for 3 months, then totally failed, middle 'sensor' fell inwards and wouldn't work.Wife loves the fact she can watch tv in bed and turn light off from bed (have to purchase separate rc) so have been persuaded to buy another but if this one goes the same way as the others she is going to have to get up and turn light off like the majority of people do!

Using 5x 6w dimmable LEDs, which have been tested fine in other leading dimmer hardware, the lamps are always on. It would probably work with additional load correction but I bought this to replace an existing 10+ year old unit to avoid adding load correction so it's been returned. (I am sure it would work fine with incandescent loads.)From other reviews it sounds like it will work with some dimmable LEDs but as I said, mine dim fine with other leading edge dimmers so I'm not about to just blame the lamps either.Additionally the polished chrome finish attracts fingerprints like nobody's business.

Worked fine for 6 months, with very little use but now blown and no easy way to report it or get replacement and no option to contact seller either. Not happy at all

Was unsure of the quality but for the price it's excellent and very quick to fit. Bear in mind a remote is required for remote operating.

This item is sold as dimmer that can control dimmable LED lights up to 10 bulbs and a combined load of 100 watts. I have found however that this is not the case. I installed this in our sitting room to control our ceiling lights. There are two 4 bulb fittings therefore 8 bulbs each drawing 9 watts and therefore taking a total load of 72 watts. The dimmer was not capable of controlling these. The dimmer would at times be non responsive, sometimes taking 4-5 minutes of continuous pressing to turn the lights on or off or not allowing dimming levels to be selected.I have since found that the dimmer to be happy with LED loads less than 50 watts....So be warned if you have multibulb LED lights

I have bought at least 3 of them now and every switch have failed to work after 4 months. Seriously there is some big problem with these switches. Varilight you have to definitely work on fixing this. I have lost trust on these switches now. Given that I have crossed the 60 day period I cannot initiate a return too. Horrible!! Total waste of money.
