American Horror Story - Season 1-3 [DVD] [2014]

I read the reviews and decided to take a gamble. Had not heard of this series ( I don't have sky or virgin) and I was not disappointed. I would not describe this as a horror ( I am a huge horror fan) but more spooky then anything. The acting is superb and I have just started season 2 which reminds me very much of the excellent horror film House on haunted hill ( highly recommend). So far I have been glued and watched season 1 in a day and a half. I wasn't expecting the humour and it was nice to feel sympathy for the ghosts that haunt the house (season 1). The characters are compelling and it is refreshing that some of the characters are also in the next season playing different roles. This series reminds me vaguely of two sci fi series I used to watch, the twilight zone and the outer limits. Even though the American horror story is not a sci fi series, it is the same principal of suspending your belief and going with it. Don't try and think too deeply and just let the brilliant acting, and intense story lines wash over you. This is a strange series to watch over the Christmas holidays, but one I can highly recommend!Update 27th of DecemberHave now watched all three seasons and I have to say season 1 and 3 were my favourite. Season 2 was good but it was very sad ( not scary ) and left me feeling bitter sweet. I do so love that the same actresses/actors play different roles in the seasons and it highlights how amazing they are, that you can totally believe in their different characters. I so look forward to watching season 4 ( I just have to wait a year for amazon to have it !).

I love American Horror Stroy its one of my favourite TV shows. I've been binge watching it I'm on series 6 episode 4. murder House and Coven are two of my favourite seasons in the show. Murder House is series 1 and Coven is series 3. A couple of my favourite actors are in American Horror Stroy thought the show Taissa Farmiga, Even peters and Emma Roberts. I would differently recommend American Horror Stroy to watch. Amazon deliver the package quiet fast which was good and it looks like it's in very good condition the dvds also the price for the Frist three seasons is good only £6.95.

I find horror movies mostly boring, and have enjoyed AHS immensely. The three seasons are a compendium of all cliché of horror movies (including the "cheerleader" who runs like there is no tomorrow, and the maniac who follows her with a steady, slow pace, and always catches up). There are all sorts of psychos, sociopaths, even aliens, but then, "normal" people do horrible things to people they love, or people they are supposed to protect. In AHS, it is the normal people who are the real monsters. Acting is very believable, and while Jessica Lange has a comparatively minor role in the first season, she really shines in the second. Just remember, if you look in the face of evil, evil is gonna look right back at you.

Oooooh, scary.Bought this on recommendation from a friend. Series one, really good. More 'typical genre' in many ways, but something about the characters and the shocks, just stuck around... Very much enjoyed it.'Coven' - ah, enjoyed this less, as the cameo from Stevie Nicks and the 'box' scene (no spoilers) just came over as quite funny, which kinda spoiled the nail-biting horror of the series. The ending disappointed too. Some of the characters, Misty, for example, were fascinating.'Asylum'.... some really amazing performances, makeup & FX, and the interlaced storylines were very gripping and entertaining,Modern Gothic horror. Looking forward to 'Freak Show' (I think).

OMG - Hooked was an understatement... all my friends had been raving on about watching AHS on Netflix ect and I caved in and bought all 3 seasons!! Never left my house for days - the story lines are amazing, the actors are fantastic for each roll they play in the different series.Not patiently waiting for AHS The Hotel to hurry up and be aired on TV - would happily watch these over and over again

I had never heard of it but watched it with teenage daughter who loved it. Must admit I got totally addicted and couldnt wait to watch the next episode. For me, not so much a horror story as a story about families, lies, temptation etc. That is what I liked about it any way. The effects were cool although I have seen better. You do get attached to the characters. Never thought I would say this but I recommend.

Out of unison I saw AHS's Hotel on TV which was great , which lead me to purchase this superb trilogy of American Horror Story !I found it awesome and compulsive viewing . Stylish , quirky , sexy, gory, art décor and a standard above many recent horror films . I'll be getting Freak show next and cant wait for the next series !

Oh the best every season brought something new to the seen I loved it!!! In my opinion murder house and asylum share my favourites. I never really got into coven! And when I started the season finished:( but I still very love everything this pack got to offer can't wait for episode 7 season 6 now😂

GHOSTS-INSANE PEOPLE-WITCHES! What more can I say-it's PERFECT! Oh, yeah, can't forget about those naked people-mostly men that I've seen, and I LIKE that. I don't know whose idea that was, but I'd like to thank him. Dylan McDermott, Evan Peters, 'Spock' Zachary Quinto...I've got all 8 but those are naked in just the first three series. Hope you don't mind knowing that. It's a fascinating series I wish I'd wrote every one of them. Shocking, surprising, even aliens and the devil. You can't predict who'll do what, who's going to survive, who won't, who's really at fault and who should be among a thousand other such thoughts. It's got superior acting, and everyone is likeable, even when their unlikeable. Every part was written, done and portrayed perfectly. I wouldn't have changed a single thing. LOVE IT! If you want something that could make you believe-scare you, freak you out or just delight your wildest imagination, then this is the series for you! Fire

Definitely not for everyone but if you like the horror / strange / unique. Then it's for sure worth a watch .The first season is definitely my favorite 🤘

Top Zustand. Nur leider habe ich nicht richtig in der Beschreibung gelesen! Die Filme sind auf Englisch! Prinzipiell kein Problem, aber ich finde es anstrengend Filme auf Englisch zu schauen.
