American Horror Story: Hotel [DVD] [2015]

Definitely recommend this dvd if you are a fan of the AHS series … loved Lady Gaga in this.

With echoes of The Shining’s Overview and shades of Psychoes Bates Motel I found this the best of the series, of the popular bloodthirsty series. For Hotel we check in to the Californian downtown Cortez, an art décor grand hotel which has seen better days! As this is American Horror Story its full of surprises, I found every episode led me up a roller coaster higher and higher, meeting superb characters of the Cortez predominantly from the spirit world. Lady Gaga amazing, as the flamboyant timeless countess, in a roll she was made to play and rocketed to her Golden globe award for this part! Also AHS favourites Evan Peters plays an astonishing part as the 1920’s eccentric owner, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett and Sarah Paulson also star. There’s so much activity at the grisly Cortez, the humour dark! With a transvestite, bartender, a housekeeper from the 1920s a cameo appearance from Naomi Campbell. Many times the80s 90s backing pop tracks seemed more like an MTV pop video! Residents check in but never check out alive! You need an open mind for AHS Hotel as its sexy, camp, stylish and downright gory. There’s vampires, immortal serial killers……. and a whole lot of fun. The best of the series!!!!

Love this when it was on Netflix and even happier now I have it, definitely worth preserving with it with each characters story being told from different perspectives

This is the most graphic season of AHS to date, excellent characters by the usual actors i actually really like lady gaga’s performance in this season, visually pleasing.

Brilliant series. This is one of my favourite series from The American Horror Story. The story of the hotel and its history is amazing. Each of the guest that have checked into the hotel have there own story why they checked in and why there never checked out. The hotel is full of secret paths and rooms that don't lead to anywhere and hall ways that have been bricked up. Lady Gaga is brilliant in this series. I hope she will be in future series. A really great series

Lady Gaga And Liz Taylor steals the show here and Cathy Bates also makes a good Character within this (at times) disturbing series. If you pay attention to some of the characters and what they say, you will ned up laughing at times. I recommend it, but its dark, sadistic and quite troubling. This is the essence of the American Horror Theme: Its designed to touch raw nerves.

Glad I came across this by accident.. excellent, finely acted, Cathy Bates and Lady Ga Ga at their best. Highly recommend.

In my honest opinion, this season of American Horror is only bested by the original Murder House season. Strong performances by all of the cast make for a creepy, shocking story that grips you from the very first episode.

Même si selon moi, ce n'est pas la meilleure. Cependant, à ma grande surprise, Lady Gaga est une bonne actrice et assure plutôt bien la relève de Jessica Lange. Cette version Bluray VO dispose des sous-titres VF ainsi que de la version audio française même s'il n'est pas noté au dos du coffret! De plus, il est moins cher que la version boîte VF ! C'est également le cas pour les autres saisons.

American Horror Story ya no estará disponible en Netflix, por lo que me urgía verla. Amazon fue mi opción más inmediata, encargué la serie enBlu-ray ya que en las tiendas de Guadalajara, México no está disponible y llegó a mi a la siguiente semana. Esta quinta temporada me ha sorprendido bastante de forma muy positiva, es demasiado violenta, con suficiente horror para los que somos fans del género, la producción es impecable, las actuaciones muy buenas en especial la de la fabulosa Lady Gaga y la música es genial.Si eres fan de la serie te recomiendo esta temporada, si no has visto la serie puedes comenzar a verla con esta temporada.
