High-Quality, Laser-Friendly Plywood
I recently got my hands on the xTool Selected Walnut Plywood, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. The quality of the plywood is top-notch, and it has become my go-to material for various laser cutting and engraving projects. The sheets are of a consistent thickness, and the smooth finish is just the right canvas for clean cuts and engraves. One of the things that stood out to me was how well it reacts to laser cutting. The cuts are clean, and the engraving comes out crisp with a nice contrast, showcasing the intricate details of my designs beautifully. Moreover, I appreciate the fact that this plywood holds up well without any burning or charring issues, which is a common problem with lesser quality materials. The size of the sheets (12"x12") is pretty standard and works well for most of my projects. Plus, the fact that they come in a pack of six allows me to have enough material for a good number of runs.I've used this plywood for various projects, and the results have been consistently good. The natural wood grain that shows through is a lovely touch and gives a premium look to the finished products.

Quality product, pretty expensive, but very handy to have in making small box dividers or other.
As advertised, consistent quality, but the ol' adage 'You get what you pay for' holds true, it's expensive but exactly what you would expect for the price. It's nicely packaged, no flaws from what I've seen and oh so handy to have for model making, boxes, crafts ...

Good veneered plywood, some warping but usable with pins
I opened my package and had 3 sheets with warping. This ships in a box and the box is wrapped in bubble wrap, so not sure where it got damp or warped in transit but it did at some point. Either way, the sheets are thin enough that this is not a problem for my use, I cut small items from the sheets and will not require large flat cuts.I immediately used an unwarped sheet to do a test cut and cut 8 honeycomb pins with it using my M1 10W machine with the settings listed in the guide- P100/S3/1pass. Results are pictured above, the pins are nice. I will use them to pin down the sheets with warping to the honeycomb, so they are flat for cutting/engraving. My M1 has magnetic pins but I’ve misplaced some of them, it’s nice to have extra.I didn’t mask anything, there was some soot to wipe off, but it did wipe off easily for the most part. I used a damp cloth to wipe.I then created the box with the remainder of the sheet using the same setting for cut and using the preset engraving settings for the top as well. I’m very happy with how the engraving looks- it’s deep and dark.Overall happy with the wood, would be more happy without warped sheets but it is plywood and I’ve ordered a lot of it from Amazon. I’ve rarely gotten a box that didn’t have a warped sheet in it, this is a higher price point than other vendors though.

I have not used them yet, but they will burn in nicely.

For creators using a laser make sure you understand the composition.
**Update: I have revised my review based upon the seller's interaction with me over the past couple of days. Once the review went live, they contacted me and offered a full refund as they thought I was dissatisfied with the product. I declined since my review was related to the product description rather than the plywood itself. They appreciated the feedback and indicated they would be more precise in their product descriptions. Since their customer service is top notch, I would have zero problems purchasing from them again.**Original ReviewFor those that missed this tidbit deep in the description, the product is listed as "mahogany veneer sheets". The core (and more significantly, the majority) of the product is made of basswood. My estimate is the mahogany veneer is 0.5mm per side with a 2mm core of basswood. This may or may not make a difference with your project however it would have been nice to have known this in advance. Overall the panels seems OK, it's just a bit disingenuous to call it mahogany when the bulk of the product is not.

Don’t waste your money!
The sheets are so warped, my bananas are straighter! Plus the top layer chips/peels away so easily with minimum handling. I’d be embarrassed to give clients items made with this. I only used 2 sheets and I’m not going to bother with the rest. Absolute garbage in my opinion and an expensive lesson learned.

Quality Product
This is the best 3mm/1/8” veneer plywood I have ever used. It is totally flat and the veneer is flawless. I have bought three packs now and they were consistent quality. No knots and both sides are excellent. You get what you pay for.
