Broke within two days. Had to return. Did not drop or anything. Seemed to get jammed in the middle of a command and then stuck.

The idea behind the product is a good idea, I just think they could have expanded this idea a little further and upgrading the quality a little more to make a good idea an even better one. Maybe they will come out with a 2.0 version, who knows. This is a christmas gift for my 3 year old daughter, but I did test it out for this review and to have batteries in it so it's ready to be played with. Here are my pros, cons, and opinion:PROS:* It has a really good amount of commands being a total of 12.* Its head is stuffed and soft making the dog feel a little bit more cuddly.* Came with a collar.* Came with a bone.* Meant to be educational in a fun way.* It's idea is unique and not something that's been repeated over and over.CONS:* Not the greatest quality. Feels and sounds cheap.* Sometimes even when being pronounced correctly and clearly it does nothing and can take multiple tries.* Movements are loud and mechanical and the sound effects aren't the greatest.* The bone it comes with is very cheap plastic. Would have been nice to include a comb or more.* Can be hard for a younger child to remember all the commands and the way each is worded.* Can become boring and at some points frustrating.My thoughts and opinion:Overall it does do what it's supposed to do and it's cute. I feel the recommended age could easily start at 3yrs. I can see an older child becoming bored with this after playing with it a few times. The included bone will probably end up lost, or just unplayed with. It would have been nice if the dogs mouth was rubber or plastic to at least be able to hold the bone. I really didn't care for the cheap fabric tongue. There could be more accessories added to encourage more pretend play.

My daughter likes this but it stopped working properly only a few days after purchases.

This dog was a novelty gift for a 100th Birthday. Everyone at the celebration were amazed and loved watching it play it's tricks. Obviously the children were having a go and the parents were impressed saying if you did not see it you would not know of it. I suspect there will be a few orders for children after the celebration
