Nice variable power supply module.
This works great for a variable power supply. I’m using a 24 Volt 90 Watt laptop power adapter for the input. I have the boost converter set up to limit my 5 V output to 2.5Amps. The Voltage and Amp display on the unit match my Fluke meter readings. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to navigate the display functions using the push buttons. It’s not difficult after using it a few times.

Compact, useful and low-cost
Not every power supply in a lab needs to be bulky or hyper-expensive. For many applications a small unit can suffice and this module is a good way to start. You get various measurements on a 2 line B&W display that is easy to read. In addition to typical Volt & Amp, it also calculates Watt and measures time and Ah (battery capacity) Adjusting the various settings & limits isn't easy as you have to jump through levels of menus. That's the price for the compact design. If you can accept such limits and e.g. prepare settings in advance and don't adjust dynamically/manually, this regulator is a good building block for a hobby/student lab. PS : There are cases that fit this regulator and can turn it into a miniature power-supply or battery charging module (max 30V DC input, adjustable output voltage & current) PS : This unit might generate noise on the output -- I didn't measure that

Waste of money came defective didn't work right
Ignore the silicone , but I would set the upper limits to 20.00 with 13.8 vdc 100AH lipo 4 on the phone in. I was only going to consume 13.5 out 1 amp , I set the upper limits to 16 because theoretically I can go as high as 20 with the device I was trying to power . Just as soon as I clicked on, UPL code and clicked off. I tried multiple settings ,I tested it and every time I put my multimeter 2 it, it would say upper limits reached code even though the upper limit was set to a much higher limit than I was using. My amperage remained at one amp going out and milliamps and some tests still it would click off it's defective.

Nice unit at a good price
Needed a variable power DC supply and ammeter for a test fixture this device filled both needs. Works great.

I released the magic smoke from it.
This thing was easy to use. I connected it to a 12v battery with some short pieces of wire. Then I adjusted the voltage and checked it with a volt meter. Then I made the mistake of connecting the output to my son's Power Wheels. He pushed the pedal and lurched forward 10 inches. Then I saw the magic smoke and pretty flames release from the boost converter. I don't claim to understand electricity, but I don't think it was made for that. Would not recommend for that application. Otherwise it was great.
