Great cage, easy to assemble and speedy delivery
Great cage, easy to assemble and speedy delivery :)Just as a side note I wouldn't recommend this for babies as the bar spacing is about 2cm wide, and my fully grown female rats can nearly fit their heads though the gap

happy rat...
not too difficult to put together - provides a decent size home for a rat ,needs a hammock/ sleeping box to complete. well priced versus others available. not sure i would feel happy keeping a chinchilla in it - seems a bit small for one.

Ok but a bugger to clean
It's ok. I got it for my degus but it's a bit narrow but overall ok size as long as u get them out a lotBut it's a bugger to clean. If you want to clean it properly you need to take it apart and it's so annoying!

Good cage, as long as your rats are fully grown
I purchased this cage in anticipation of getting my pet rats, and was happy with the amount of room that the cage provided. I later on got my rats, three 11 week girls and set up the cage and put them in. Within two days they had discovered they could escape through the bars and in the end I had to purchase wire mesh to put around the entire cage to keep them from escaping. I'm almost certain that fully grown male rats wouldn't be able to escape through the bars, and fairly certain that fully grown females would have a tough time trying to escape, but I still wont risk taking the wire off of the cage now unless I'm certain all three of my girls can't escape.Whilst the cage came with no instructions, assembling it was fairly easy, the only tough thing was putting the wheels on.The cage size itself isn't too bad, I think the platform's are a little too large for rats who are more climbers and would prefer the free space, but my girls don't seem cramped.Overall I do like the cage, and it isn't the fault of the makers that my girls were able to escape - it's the fault of the pet store that assured me that the cage would be suitable from the get go
