Now repackaged into a pump bottle so it's much easier to use without wastage ( it's much less viscous than regular shampoos). This is lovely to use - pleasant, natural scent. Soothes itching and keeps on working well the longer I use it. As it's fairly expensive, I tend to use it for a few weeks at a time, then go back to my usual brands until I have another flare up of itchy scalp. Then out comes the Hope's Relief - it works every time for me and I love that there are no nasty chemicals!

I don't understand all the negative reviews. I have been using this product for more than a year, occasionally along with the conditioner, and it is the only shampoo that keeps my scalp psoriasis with large dandruff flakes under control. I just wish it was a bit less expensive. If I could buy in bulk at a significant discount I would be happy to do so.I would add a tip for using this shampoo that I have found useful and helps minimise the cost. I shampoo mostly with a much cheaper Herbal Essences shampoo (no chemicals) but several times a month I use the Hopes Relief shampoo immediately after using the Herbal shampoo and also use the conditioner. This has maintained my scalp free of psoriasis and flaking and leaves my hair feeling smooth and clean.

It seems to be quite good and does not set up allergic reactions which a lot of the other shampoos do.

Yes, weird right?! Gone off?So it obviously had some oil in that had gone rancid, so it smelled like I'd poured rancid cooking oil on my head. But it was also liquid, the colour and consistency of wee, not a gloopy shampooey gel.For both these reasons I would leave it alone, buy something else.In my experience looking for a shampoo that won't make my head itch and break out in cradle cap-like crusts there's a lot of talk about SLS and other nasties. But I suspect the real issue is aloe vera, which is in a lot of shampoo to make it gloopy, the gel alone will make my hands sore; glycosides, glucosides, saccherides, all the additives derived from sugar, these are food sources for natural skin yeasts, and Xanthan gum, it is the gummy protective coating to bacteria, which it's derived from. It's fairly mind-boggling.So now I give up.Thing is, since it isn't elegible for a refund, and we never think of shampoo as being able to go off, there is no way to let amazon know I spent £17 on a dud.

Heard lots of good things about this, but didn't work at all for me. Sebamed works well, but my new favourite is the Alpecin Dandruff Killer.

I bought this for my daughter for her dandruff. She couldn’t get on with it as it is the consistency of water & it doesn’t lather well so if you’ve got lots of long hair you end up using a lot to feel clean.However, rather than waste it by not using it I decided to try it as a facial wash. I’m 44 with dry skin and this product makes an awesome facial wash. It does not leave my skin feeling tight or dry like most other facial washes (including their own brand Goats Milk wash). In fact my skin feels soft & youthful after using it. I then rub melted shea butter into my wet skin after washing as a moisturiser so my cleansing routine is now completely natural and effective.I have been using this for over a year now and will not go back to anything else.Please think about recommending it for skin use too.I have no wrinkles and beautifully soft skin now!

Great shampoo - very gentle on the hair. It does not lather up very much because it does not contain harsh chemicals but leaves the hair soft and clean and no feeling of tightness or dryness of the scalp. Expensive but you only need a little so a bottle does last a long time.

Used three times and scalp clear, amazing. You don’t have to use much so will last a long time.
