Very good product for the home
Very pleased with this product string strong for kitchen food and small parcels keeps everything tidy

Cute looking does it’s job
This product makes a lovely addition to the kitchen. The string is strong and worked well on both chicken and pork meat. The addition of having a holder with a cutter makes it look nice in the corner of my worktop rather than just having a roll of string in the drawer. The string is versatile and can be used for tying other things whilst the cutter removes the need to find a scissors to cut. It would have been better to be able to put any roll of string when this one runs out but it is cone shaped so you will have to get the same string. Overall I think the product is good and tidy

Great Little Gadget..
Great Little gadget and the string is miles better quality than others. Used for stringing pork and beef for BBQ and works great. Up to the normal OXO standard. The built in cutter is a great idea and keeps things clean and easy....

Has lots of uses
Perfect for many uses in the kitchen and around the house. Being on a cone makes it very easy touse and avoids any tangles. Have used the string for trussing up a chicken, when steaming puddings and have just made a very fetching Christmas card holder with added bells. Very versatile and excellent value for money.

Will buy again
This string is excellent for the chicken on the rotary grill. I though the heat would be a problem but no it kept the legs & wings in position. Will buy again.

Oxo String dispenser
This would have been given 5 stars if it was possible to use other reels of string from different suppliers.However the string is supplied on a cone shaped reel so you cannot put slim tubed straight reels on/with this.However the seller was fine and it came in good time. Other reviewers have said that the string is weak,The few pieces i tested were strong enough to tie/truss butchers meat. (I have been a Chef for many years) so all in all if the string is always available then there should be no problem. The cutting blade can be safely detached so you can use it without the reel holder when tying large joints for example so you don't need the holder next to your meat which means less chance of it getting contaminated.by blood products etc.I would reccomend with the above proviso. I hope this is of some help.Rab
