Wacko RV AC Silencer Kit Made in USA (CA200)

I have been very hesitant to purchase due to the cost. After, going through turning up the volume while my ac was running and back down when off, I decided to give it a try. Three things, it was easy to install myself, it eliminates direct air blowing on me while sitting on the sofa and it really quiets it down. I guess there is a fourth reason, it blows the air out of the ceiling vents much better throughout the Rv. I’m so glad I did it. Thank you

Thanks to the other great reviews, I decided to try this in my trailer. The volume of the A/C is much decreased (maybe by half) and the temperature of the trailer is better regulated. Previously, the cold air dumped directly onto the thermostat so the A/C would run hard and then shut off over and over. Now it is quieter, and the air is evenly distributed through the trailer. It is worth the money. I followed all the YouTube video instructions which were very helpful.

Much quieter, pricey. Now can talk to another person on the other end of rv, and hear the TV without turning up volume . Rate is because of price.

I wish I had done this before now! This was one of the best improvements to my RV ever. My a/c runs at 10 decibals lower and pushes twice the air than before. If you have an RV, order this silencer now! It was very easy to install. Just take some extra time to seal up the inside of the inside ac blower area with tape. The manufacturer doesn't do a very good job at the factory.

Installed before a long trip. Quiet was nice. Unit won’t stay cold, built up excess condensation. I thought our AC seal had failed. Replaced it, and still had the condensation build. Took the silencer off. Ran for a day. Cooling issues and condensation issues went away. I’ll take a louder AC vs a puddle on the floor any day. Trying to return and it’s an issue. Not happy

This is a game-changer for us. In a Class B RV, the sound of the AC is amplified due to the small size of the space and how close you are to the ceiling. In a previous RV, I changed out the AC unit from the factory-installed Dometic to a Haughton by RecPro. The Haughton was extremely quiet compared to the Dometic. We just purchased a new class B with a Dometic AC unit that was extremely loud, so we decided to try the Wacko RV AC Silencer. It reduced the noise level close to 20 DB. It is extremely important to follow the directions to get maximum results. Watch the YouTube video by the inventor of the Silencer kit and follow his directions, particularly the part about sealing up the leaking air on the intake side of the unit. Buy an extra roll of tape, you will need it. Overall installation is relatively simple. We're thrilled with this product and recommend it highly.

It does what it says. Instructions are worthless. Watch "today is someday" on YouTube. They put out an extremely thorough video for installation. We referred to it multiple times during installing. The product is good.

I rarely do reviews, good or bad. That being said this is one of the absolute best products ever to quiet those notoriously LOUD RV air conditioners!!!! Why manufacturers don't have these as part of standard installs is a head shaker. This product not only SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the loud noise that comes from the interior air conditioner, it actually improves the overall distribution of air throughout the entire RV(this particular item is for air conditioner with ducting). We no longer have to talk loud or turn up TV to hear over the roar of the conditioner, and the entire RV cooling is balanced.....no more hot rooms!!! Wish I found this sooner. It's a bit pricey, but SO, SO WORTH IT!!!!! Install super easy too. This is a must have for RV owners.
