The Thrustmaster T16000M does it's job perfectly as an entry level joystick to enter into space or flight sims. It was easy to set up and responsive, mapping was simple and works fine with games like Star Citizen and Microsoft flight simulator. The ambidextrous grip is easy to swap over as long as you have a screwdriver handy.Running HOSAM for Star citizen has been an absolute game changer in not only how well I am able to fly but also the immersion into the game. It has a good amount of buttons to map your needed items very rarely do I have to move back to the keyboard when in flight. It does not have Vibration if that is something you are interested in.

I've been using a cyborg gold joystick for over 10 years, this review is based on my comparison to that.Pros:Easy to change to left handed and back if needed. Only 2 screws to do so.The joystick movement has a fair amount of resistance but it does scream quality.No dead zone, it centres perfect every time.Smooth movement, you feel in control with even the smallest of movements.Fairly heavy, so stays well planted on the desk. Worst case, there are two screw points underneath if you need them.Easy setup.Cons:The buttons feel soft, not a very positive clickThe sick is a little oversized IMO. I'm a medium to large glove size and i feel my hands are on the small side for this stick. It's not unusable, just doesn't feel quite right.When you move the stick the base lights up. After 3 seconds of being 100% centred, the light goes out, but comes back on when moved again. I'm finding this distracting. Great for checking if the stick is working correctly but with no option to turn this light off, i had to drop a star from my rating. There are videos online that show you how and which wire to cut to stop this but that will invalidate your warranty. I will cut mine as soon as the warranty has ended.Only thing i haven't mentioned so far is the slide throttle. Shame it's not a rotational throttle like on my cyborg gold, but for a slide throttle, it does its job and feels fine.My reason for getting this one is that it is the only quality left handed joystick on the market at the moment IMO

I have used Thrustmaster products for many years and I have never been disappointed with any of them and this no exception.Well built, solid quality and easy to use.Used mainly with FS2020 and DCS World, no more flying helicopters like I’m drunk !The twist rudder is an absolute godsend and very intuitive to use, whether landing a fixed wing in a cross wind or strafing a column of enemy vehicles it works beautifully.Highly recommendedHappy flying y’all.

Having upgraded from a 20 year old MS Sidewinder Precision 2, these are amazing.I specifically got two of these to play Elite Dangerous. This is a fairly common HOSAS set up for this game and I even think the orange hints were designed to match Elite's orange HUD.By having tap/hold macros and setting one key on each stick to become [Shift] after 0.5s I can 3 different actions per button (for example, I have one button that's engine boost on tap, supercruise on hold for 0.5s and combined with shift on the other stick it functions as system jump. So even with the fairly limited buttons I can play the entire game while never removing my hands from the sticks.Build quality seems good, I'm not sure what the point of the LED in the base is, I'd rather just have the stick and save a little cost.I've now got about 100 hours of use in-game with them and they are performing excellently. I am slightly concerned about people complaining about broken Z axis on here but I haven't had any issues yet.

I bought this joystick to replace my 20-year-old Logic3 one, which had become unusable through over-sensitivity and faulty sensors. I'd read that this Thrustmaster FCS joystick used magnets for much more precise control input and that it was ideally suited for the accurate demands of flight simulators. I have no regrets in buying this model for the extra £25 or so as it is an excellent stick! I'd recommend this joystick to anyone who is serious enough about flight simming, but who still is on a reasonable budget and cannot justify buying a yoke or top-end stick. The response and fine accuracy of this stick takes both my civil and fighter flight experience to a whole new level of satisfaction. The increased financial outlay over most basic/standard joysticks is worth it!

Gekauft als preiswerter und guter "Notersatz" für das Spiel Star Citizen. Es gibt haufenweise gute Testvideos zu diesem Joystick. In dieser Preisklasse ein sehr guter Joystick. Natürlich hat er Schwächen, aber man kommt gut damit klar, auch als "Einsteiger".Die Software funktioniert, auch wenn man sich gut einarbeiten muss um komplexere Profile anzulegen, man hat aber sehr viele gute Möglichkeiten. Auch gibt es zu vielen Spielen bereits gute vordefinierte und leicht anpassbare Profile.Fazit: Klare Kaufempfehlung für Joystick-Einsteiger und Fortgeschrittene, die Wert auf eine stabile Lerngrundlage legen, Adaptions bzw. Funktionsmöglichkeiten zu schätzen wissen (bei moderaten Einstiegshürden) und Wert auf eine solide Präzision legen, ohne sich direkt ein sehr teures Setup zu kaufen.Der Joystick hat viele Einsatzmöglichkeiten und ist solide genug gebaut um lange Zeit viel Spaß damit haben zu können. Wer aber bereits einen High-End Joystick in der Hand hatte, der merkt natürlich, dass einige Abstriche gemacht wurden. Diese sind aber oft nicht "Kriegsentscheidend" und man zahlt für bessere Produkte auch DEUTLICH mehr Geld. Ich hatte auch schon Joysticks in der Hand für den 4-5 fachen Preis, die dem T16000M FCS deutlich unterlegen sind in Ausstattung und Präzision.Für High-End-Süchtige: Finger weg, falscher Gimbel um langfristiges "Mercedesfeeling" zu erleben. Die Verarbeitung ist ausreichend gut, aber der Abstand zu wirklicher High-End-Ausstattung ist deutlich seh- und spürbar. In meinem Fall war es ein Notkauf, da mein Wunschmodell nicht zeitnah verfügbar war. Man kann damit aber ein paar schöne Stunden verbringen, nur gibt es einige "Kleinigkeiten" die mich dann doch nerven, die für den Preis aber vollkommen OK sind.
