Has Made Life So Much Easier!!!
One of our cats recently developed heart problems and had to take medicine daily. He's the most nervous and easily frightened cat of the dozen or so we've had so grabbing him to squirt medicine in his mouth was incredibly difficult. And I'm sure he was terrified every time we did it. But we learned from our vet of a service called MixLabs that mix the medicine into an edible "treat". He hates taking medicine and even in treat form, he refuses to take it. We found this product and figured it was worth a shot and it has worked perfectly. We wrap the pill/treat in some of this stuff and he eats it right up. It has made ours and his life so much easier. It's basically like bacon flavored Play-Doh. You just pull out a little bit and wrap the pill or whatever in it. Make sure that the pill stays within the wrap and doesn't touch any of the exterior. Your pet will smell the meds if it touches the outside of the wrap. One trick we do is to stick a crunchy treat on the side. The pill wrap is kind of slick and it sometimes is difficult for my cat to pick up and keep in his mouth while chewing. The dry treat gives his tongue something to grip while he licks it up and chews it. And it masks the smell of the medicine even more. This stuff is kind of expensive but it's worth every penny to us. Before the pill wrap, our cat was always nervous around us and scared that we'd pick him up and squirt horrible medicine in his mouth. But now he just happily takes his medicine and isn't worried around us.

Definitely worth it for cats
This stuff is amazing. Even when my cat crunches down on the paste-wrapped pill and I'm sure she'll taste the pill and spit it back out, she finishes eating it. She's been so hard to give pills to in the past. She's really good at spitting pills out when they're wrapped in cream cheese, pill pockets, etc, so this is a lifesaver. I thought I would just be using it to wrap a pill up so I could throw it down her throat without her tasting it, but she surprised me and just gobbled it right up.It's kind of expensive, but worth it. If anything else worked, I'd be using it.Update: My smarter cat has caught on and stopped eating the pills wrapped in this paste, so I'm just wrapping the pill in a tiny bit of this paste to help it go down easier when I toss it down her throat. But, my stupider one still happily chomps down like he's getting a treat, so it's still worth it.

Easiest Way to Get a Pet to Take a Pill
My vet recommended this pill wrap to me. It is the one they use in their office. It is the easiest way I've ever found to get a pill down a dog. It even worked for my cat the one time I tried it on him. It's like bacon flavored silly putty - you just wrap up the tablet in as little or as much as you need to mask the taste. How much I use depends on how big the pill is and how cooperative the dog is going to be. Use a little more for less cooperative animals or larger pills. My little dog just scarfs it down and it's the easiest thing ever. I just make sure I offer the wrapped pill for him to take from my outstretched hand and watch him eat it right there, rather than tossing it to him or letting him grab it and run off. That way I'm sure the meds got into the dog. I can even use it to differentiate pre-wrapped dosages or meds. I just shape it into a ball for the morning dose and into an oval for the afternoon dose. This stuff is versatile and so useful. The little containers are good for small-item storage after the pill wrap is gone, too!

The secret to helping animals
I have a very picky dog. He has to only eat hydrolized protein. I put pieces on this in his food and he eats. Truly a life safer for my dog. It also works well for pill delivery. I was told about this product by an emergency animal clinic. They didn’t even sell it so I know they weren’t into to make money.

Works but stuck to my kitty’s teeth
Why did you pick this product vs others?:My kitty likes the taste and it’s easy to wrap pill. However, it seems to stick to her teeth, so I’m not sure if this is good for kitty oral hygiene unless you can brush your kitty’s teeth easily. Hence 4 stars.

Good for a cat with a protein intolerance
The other major pill wrap brand's primary ingredient is chicken which my cat can't eat because of a protein intolerance. He tolerates this wrap fine as it doesn't appear to contain any animal proteins.

A Miracle for My Cats!
The media could not be loaded. Well, when it rains, it pours and both my cats ended up needing to be on pills at the same time. My young cat who is 1 and will eat anything is easy enough to hide in her food. But my almost 19 year old will pick around any pill in food! When she was diagnosed with cancer and had to start a steroid i was concerned because we struggled for at least a week. It was stressful for us both trying to get the pill in her. So I came online and bought a multitude of things to try (pill pusher, pill pockets and THIS product). I'd tried pill pockets before and she was able to chew them apart and spit out the pill, so I didn't have much hope for those or this product. Not to mention she is a picky eater. HOWEVER, I tried this product first, have been using it daily for a month now and haven't needed anything else. I even started giving my young cat her pill in this because it's easier for me to ensure she eats it immediately! They both LOVE the flavor and scent which I was surprised about with my elderly girl! Also, she can NOT chew it apart to separate treat from pill. I have had to split her pill in two, however, to make sure I'm not giving her anything larger than pea sized. She seems to struggle with the texture if it's larger and can have a hard time chewing/swallowing(though my younger cat doesn't). So as tiny as possible is the trick for us. Sometimes when I put it in front of her she acts picky for a moment, but I've found that if I roll the treat in my fingers a bit to warm it up then she ALWAYS goes for it. She hasn't missed a pill since this arrived in the mail and I am truly amazed! She's so much more content with the meds in her and I'm grateful to have found this product to make it easy and stress free for both of us to give them to her. HIGHLY recommend for any cat parents out there who have experienced the trauma of trying to give their cat a pill!
