What a game changer !After using a few pods to figure out the best/easiest way to use this tool I uncapped 130 Vertuo pods in about 30 minutes. It used to take me that long just to uncap about 15-20 pods manually ripping the foil off.10/10 highly recommended !!!Update:The aluminum caps that came with the cutter are separating from the pods after only a few days. The cutter is still 10/10 … but the aluminum lids, not so much. I think the adhesive is inferior compared to Nessus lids.

I bought this too to supplement a different Nespresso pod kit I’d bought. This other kit didn’t come with a tool to cut the foil so I got this to fix that. I really like the sharpness of the blade, it cuts through the foil and that annoying adhesive with ease. This tool saves me so much time when I’m emptying out my pods and it makes the outer rim cleaner with less of that adhesive. I couldn’t really recommend the foils because my kit doesn’t support them. I only bought this kit for the pod blade, but I’d say that the pod blade itself is worth the price.

I got this set mostly for the tool to cut the tops off of pods. Be careful as the product works almost to well? I cut through the entire pod and sliced my hand. Be cautious though and don’t apply full pressure, it works great.

i’m a little disappointed in the foil. Doesn’t seal as well as some others and it’s slightly smaller and circumference. I’ve had a higher than expected failure rate with these foil lids. The seal is not bad. I really like the tool that came with to remove the foil.I’m not sure if I’m gonna buy these again even though they are competitively priced and not totally unacceptable.

So far, the easiest way to remove the original lids is to use the hook to slit the foil in half by making to slits from the center to the edge of the rim. Be careful not to poke a hole in the capsule bottom. Grab the fil at the inside rim edge + pull it slowly + hard away from you, towards the outside edge. This should remove the lid on two pieces. If any foil remains on edges, pull it of with regular blunt top pliers.

Best kit for the money.

The product don’t come with a warning and it is very sharp and very easy to cut yourself , I cut myself from the first time I tried to used it and I’m a very careful person , this product should not be even sold to people this is a very dangerous product.
