Vitavac - 5g to 20 grams Vacuum Sealed Container - Black Cap & Clear Body

My original item arrived smashed. Contacted seller via Amazon and they replaced it no questions asked. The replacement arrived in perfect condition. And so far seems to do what it's supposed to.

This is the 2nd one of these I've owned, the other I purchased locally.These things are AWESOME. They're the perfect size for keeping a decent amount of whatever you want in it, while keeping the contents/smell/freshness inside and air outside. Perfect for throwing in your bag for on-the-go loose tea, or whatever herb you will.The thing I learned from my previous tightvac container was MAKE SURE to keep the outside of the jar and the inside of the lid clean (where they close), otherwise the airtight seal will be broken and it makes the plastic stick to each other, which eventually makes it crack. Then the cap WILL slide on and off without much effort (because the seal is essentially broken).So keep the connectors clean, even if it's just a quick one-over with your finger each time you close it.The container is pretty easy to clean, just have to be careful around the plunger on the inside of the lid.Swear by these containers, in all sizes. I also have a larger counter-top one and everything stays super fresh.

I was skeptical about how airtight the tightvac was after reading other users reviews, but mine works great. The vacuum suction is great - yes you can slightly pull up the lid when it is sealed, but you can't pull it all the way off unless you use extreme excess force. My boyfriend did that not realizing it was a vacuum sealed container and that he needed to push the button to open it... But luckily it still worked fine after that incident.The unit is also like 93% odor proof. If you keep any odorous materials in this container, you can only really slightly smell if you put it up to your nose. Unlike other containers that just have a screw on lid, this one can sit in a room and not stink it up.Perfect storage for medicinal herbs. Easy to clean. Just make sure to wipe off the inside of the lid and the outside of the container where the two meet. If any debris gets on these sides, the lid might not vacuum seal very well.

Smellproof. Very happy with the item

We have been sailing the South Pacific and we have prematurely lost spices to rot quite often. These handy little containers allow us to keep spices fresher longer. Though not inexpensive, they do pay for themselves in the cost of replacement spices. If we do have larger containers of spices, we vacuum seal the quantity that does not fit the container.We also add .5 gram silica dry packet to the Spice container and keep all the containers in a sealing plastic bin with a 5 gram silica dry packet.

I have over a dozen of these in a bunch of sizes including these. Not sure about the other reviewers comments but I keep some really smelly stuff in these and then store them in a draw right out in the living room. The wife used to complain how if the house had been sealed up for a few hours when she'd come back and walk through the living room and she'd always say how it stunk. After transitioning to these from your best quality freezer bags she asked me one day if I moved it out of the house. I don't know but they work for me. And I only had one problem with one unit and Tightvacs CS was very accommodating in making it right. They always pack the product well and get it sent off quickly. They seem to be a top notch vendor from my experience.

I was excited to receive this item, it looks nice, the see through part is actually plastic, though the picture looks like glass, even the product itself looks like glass, I put my herbs of choice in it however when I pressed the button it is just simply the air inside the container which I feel diminishes the purpose, it dosnt take the air out and has no means of doing so, it is simply a push button valve with a rubber seal, that's the only reason I took 1 star off was because of the lack of doing its job

What more can I say, it stores well and maintains a VERY good seal.The value is there and i would recommend.

These are perfect containers for almost any purpose. If you label the lids you can use them to organize office supplies and put them in a drawer, use then to carry pills or small objects you don't want to lose in a backpack or purse. The package came quickly which is always a plus. Would buy these again any time.
