Very good book!
I loved it! This is a very well written book which encompasses the lives of our military vets and the challenges they face, such as: coping with the PTSD, and the ones who come back as amputee's still trying to deal with their anxiety over their disfugurment, and then there's also the general worry of being accepted back into civilian life. Vets---especially those who been in a major combat areas--- are a very special breed. There are things they've seen, and lived through, that most of us civilians could never cope with. This book also brings up the fact that the VA needs work, and I've seen that myself first hand, because my own Hubby is a Vet.IMO- All of the dialogue, and the events that take place within this story all seem quite real. Either this author knows someone personally who's gone through this, or she did one heck of a job doing fact checks. Because these things are still a very real thing, even in today's world.I loved the way Noah was so dedicated, and so patient with Dair. She was not only going through a tough time trying to accept the fact that she wasn't whole anymore, but she was also dealing with residual effects of having an abusive father. That's a lot to go through, for anyone. I thought everything about this book was great.....except for the way it ended. Sure, they had sort of a HEA, if you want to call it that, but I wanted to see them tie the knot. Oh well, maybe we'll get to see them do that in the next book.

and I love it! It is hard to put it down
I am reading this now, and I love it! It is hard to put it down, even when I must. One of the many things I enjoy about Lindsay McKenna stories, is that the people do not seem like 'characters in a novel', but rather as friends of a friend, acquaintances, who are real people. I learn from the way they deal with their struggles in life, and rejoice in their successes. The dialogue, the events, all seem quite real. It is sort of like reading a letter from a friend, detailing the activities of real people that we all know, and care about.

This one could bring you to tears as you get to know Dair
This is a heart wrenching story. Ms. McKenna does a terrific job of describing the physical and emotional toll taken on an amputee—in this case on a woman who lost her foot and part of her leg to an IED. She has created a character with the baggage of a childhood of abuse that has followed her throughout her life. The storyline recreates that trauma in adulthood and the toll it takes is almost insurmountable. The sensitivity and empathy created by the author is both genuine and authentic to the situation. The only thing keeping this book from a five-star rating is the continual repetition of themes that borders on bothersome and unnecessary. It seems to be part and parcel of the author’s style, but a bit of editing would improve the delivery of what is an exceptional story.

Wrangled"s Challenge by Lindsay McKenna
Totally blown away with this story. A well written book which encompasses the lives of our military vets, the PTSD, the anxiety and the general worry of being accepted back into civilian life.Dair, cam out from Afghanistan, when a black ops mission goes south. Dair was a WMD dog handler and Zeus was her partner. Zeus failed to detect an IED, which vaporized Zeus and left Dair one leg short. She returns to Wind River in Wyoming, where she came from. She met up with Shay and Reese Lockhart from the Bar C, becomes a wrangled and for the first time, truly happy.A happy ending is guaranteed for the vets. Highly recommend!!

so inspiring.
As a prior military person, I understand these characters. Makes me want to create the same atmosphere for the real PTSD veterans.Love how they don't shy away from there PTSD and physical challenges. But they don't back down and don't give up. They fight together like the military trained them to do. There is a bond in the military you will never understand.

Just ok
The storyline for this was good but I felt the dialogue was forced and not believable. There were many conversations that had me shaking my head. For example Noah said “ I wanted to have this conversation when we weren’t in the throes of passion”. I’m sorry I just can’t follow that one. I have to admit I skimmed through the second half of the book because of the dialogue.

Struggling!
I've read all the books in this series and thoroughly enjoyed them but I have to admit I struggled through this one. I got to 41% of the story and still nothing had happened!! An awful lot of information on horse training but no other storyline. The romance hadn't started and there wasn't much of anything going on. I started skipping pages about the horsey stuff. I mean ok I got the idea what they were there for but enough let's get on with the story!!
