The water kettle has an extra heavy duty cord that sticks straight out of the wall socket, taking up valuable counter space. And this adapter does exactly what it's designed for; It directs that heavy duty cord 90 degrees towards the counter, freeing up counter space.This adapter is very heavy duty, meant for computer enclosures & racks, and that was what I needed. As expected, the water kettle draws a lot of current so no other current-sucking counter appliances like a microwave or coffee maker can be run off the kitchen electric circuit at the same time without tripping a breaker. But this adapter never even gets warm. Perfect!

Did the trick. I had to flip the socket upside down as I wanted the plug on TOP in order to power mu undercabinet LED lights.

Solid.

So it's overkill for my use of just needing a 90 degree connector for an outside extension cord to a small LED lighted fountain - barely an amp. It was really stout if that's what you need, but bigger than I expected for a less rugged use and didn't save me much in an expandable outdoor outlet cover. If you want high quality, heavy duty - you got it.

Needed this adapter so a heavy cord in my garage would be closer to the wall versus sticking out. Works as expected

If you think six bucks is too much to pay for a right angle adapter, think again. This is a very well made high quality commercial grade product. The first impression is that when you get it it’s not just tossed into a plastic bag but in a protective blister pack. It describes it as being appropriate for server racks and equipment enclosures so you know their intended application is for high end installations. The adapter itself weighs an impressive almost two ounces. A close look inside reveals full electric contacts not the simplistic designs common with most consumer power accessories these days.WHAT IT ISReading some of the other comments it appears the intended application of this product may not be entirely clear. It is not a multitap, its sole job is to change the orientation of a grounded plug by 90 degrees, but it is not designated to be a wall hugger, in other words if you want to use it to reduce how far a cord extends out from the outlet because maybe you want to push furniture closer to the wall this really won’t help you. It sticks out 1.75 inches by itself and there is a reason for that, if it were much smaller it could not be used with some heavy duty commercial grounded plugs, defeating why some users would want or need it. Just simplify your thinking and tell yourself to understand what it does – it converts the orientation of a plug to a fixed right angle, that’s all.EVALUATIONI tested this with a meter and measured no perceptible power loss. I wiggled both the adapter and a power plug looking for shorts or interruptions in voltage and there was none. That’s why it’s worth six bucks.For what it is intended to do this is the highest quality adapter of its type I have found.

Does exactly what I wanted it to. Changes my outlets direction on my UPS that for some reason they made the plug outlets so bloody close together. Changing the direction off to the side makes it so I can connect my clunky adaptor for my router without taking up two spots. To note, probably disconnect power before connecting or you might get shocked! Not the adapters fault especially if the device doesn't have a ground prong. 😊

Typical plugs and their wires stand straight out from the wall. No big deal, mostly, except for that one behind a piece of furniture. The furniture kept getting pushed back, mashing the plug, bending its prongs, and causing a power-out to the lamp attached. This solves the problem conveniently - and, unlike the first solution I looked at, this includes the ground wire. It still stands out from the wall a bit. But, if that furniture backs into it again, no harm done.I'm happy-- wiredweird

かさばる3Pプラグを少しでもコンパクトにしようと、2個買ってみたのですが、添付写真のとおり、プラグとコンセントの間が15mm浮くため、グラグラしてとても不安定。結局ゴミになりました。これは当たり前ですが、このプラグに３Pプラグを下方向から接続する運用になります。
