The good and the bad
⚠️⚠️PLEASE READ ENTIRE REVIEW BEFORE PURCHASING!⚠️⚠️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the lights, quality, and easy installation!🚫👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻🚫 for “sync” this product will ONLY sync if it’s running through a separate cable box, consol, or third party streaming box. You cannot connect the “sync” box directly to your TV and expect it to work with the screen. I have a 2 week old 85” smart 4K high end smart TV and all my streaming services are already on to the TV… no external boxes needed! So the screen won’t change with what’s on the screen as I’d wanted. It works really well it was easy to install and I’m definitely keeping it because it’s beautiful behind the TV but I’m disappointed and it’s ability to sync as the above described issue.

Don’t buy. Doesn’t connect.
The media could not be loaded. I have a 55’ Roku tv. The product set up has taken no less then one hour and it still will not connect to my tv through hdmi. The app is no help, the set up is unclear and the light’s adhesive is less then desirable. There are cheaper better brands that might actually work. The pictures are before, the video is now.The pictures were the week of purchase. The video is now. The review will not let me upload multiple videos.

colors are similar but not the same
The lights react like a quarter of a second after the colors show up there. It has a limit on colors it doesn't do a soft light blue color it'll do a dim teal.(it will try its best to match the colors on screen with the limited colors it has it doesn't change shades just saturation, brightness, and color)If you pull up white it'll do a super desaturated bright teal looking like white but slightly off.

Easy to set up, great effects.
The media could not be loaded. I was able to set this up in about 15 minutes. Glad I could find a product that was able to synch with images on tv or with music. My set up used an Apple TV4K with a 65” Visio tv. Very happy so far… at least day one. Will follow up later if my experience changes dramatically, but so far so good.

Works great and is a great value for an entertainment enhancing feature.
My credentials:I worked in the electronics and home theater at big box as well as high end retail stores for 10 years including 6 installing custom AV systems in both commercial and residential environments. Particularly, I worked through the time period that saw the great CRT decline and the flat panel/home theater availability and emergence to a greater dichotomy of consumers. Even more, I sold, installed, and had hands on experience with one of the first plasma’s made that had the same technology built in.As soon as I saw this tech, I needed to have it. But not the $13k price the TV had on it at the time. Fast forward 10 years and plasmas were nearly gone from the market, and that major brand had a negligible fraction of the TV market, yet they produced the light technology as a separate add on to any AV setup…at again, a heartier price.I knew if I waited long enough, someone would mirror the tech, regardless of the patents or restrictions in place that limited manufacturers. Over the coming years, there were imitators using cameras to capture the screen, as well as technology self motivated people could build themselves using open source software and some computer hardware. Oh yeah, and a lot of patience and ingenuity was needed also.Fast Forward a final 12 years and there are many of the previous options still available, as well as a handful of true “cameraless” mirrored technology options out there. Likely due to the significant decrease in the manufacturing of technology like LEDs. Enter OREiN TV LED Backlights. I’d be lying if told you I was expecting great. I’d even be lying if I told you I was expecting good. ESPECIALLY for the price. However, I did a significant amount of research on both the company, as well as customer reviews. OREiN, while far from perfect, had the better collection of valid reviews and seemed like a reputable manufacturer. After having now for 6 months, I love them. I run them all the time and they are fantastic. Is it a seamless movement and accurate color base? Of course not. Would the bigger name brand with the bigger price point be “Better”? I truly believe they would be. But as a cost effective, accessory to give a nice fun bump to your AV experience, it absolutely exceeds my expectations. I’d confidently tell anyone to get one and I agree with the other ver all rating on Amazon, no more, no less.

Meh
The media could not be loaded. Yeah these aren't what I was expecting. Constant light moving while the screen is barely changing. Colors that aren't even on the screen. And the timing is off. I've had these for 1 hour and now I am returning them
