Works very well
Update:I’ve had this system for two years now and can say that these speakers are great! Ive used them everyday and have had no issues since my initial ones. I plan to purchase another set of these. Definitely worth the money. had this product for about 2 months now and have enjoyed it. There have been a few hiccups but nothing that would steer me away from it completely. The audio connection that they ship with the speakers were not working well for me. Sometimes the audio would cut out completely and I would need to turn the speakers on and off again. I bought some different audio connections and have not had an issue since. The Bluetooth seems to be a little spotty but it works most of them time.Other than those two issues they’ve been great. Even though they’re smaller speakers they can fill a room and not lose any of the audio quality.

Solid punch, small form factor.
I bought these speakers to replace a failing 2.1 system on my desktop PC. I use this system mostly for gaming, listening to music, and recording guitar. The hifi/studio switch is what really appealed to me with these, I'm no professional music producer, but I do have high-ish expectations in the sound quality department having owned some high-end systems in the past. Since I don't need full blown studio monitors, I was looking to spend around $200 max, fortunately, these were on sale for less than that at the time of purchase. The packaging is simple, with no frills—just the speakers and a few cables, as well as a manual. The speakers themselves are quite small. I was somewhat expecting this based on the other reviews, but it was still a little surprising. I do have some other similarly sized hifi speakers that also use passive radiators, so I know the design is capable. Otherwise, aesthetically they are pretty low key but appear to be well built, and they do not feel cheap or low quality. I placed the speakers on 5" riser stands to bring them up to just below ear level on my desk. They are connected to my computer through a Focusrite Scarlett using balanced TRS cables. Upon powering them on I have to unfortunately report that there is a hiss from the tweeters. It's not super loud, but it is noticeable in a quiet room. The hiss remains regardless of volume level, or what connection is used.I have been using the speakers daily now for about a week listening to different types of music and playing some games. I'm happy to say that I'm pretty pleased with the sound quality. The imaging is good, the dome tweeter is smooth with no apparent harshness, and the combined woofer with the passive radiators hits hard for their small size. The switch works as expected, hifi mode appears to boost the mid-low and highs which gives the speakers a big sound that's not too overly exaggerated, and studio flattens the sound right out. I think the hifi mode would please most desktop users, and you could probably experiment with using studio with some equalization to tailor the sound to your needs if you were really picky. Overall, I am happy with the purchase at the price I paid. ($175) I don't know that I would be a buyer at the regular full retail price of $249 since that puts you in range of some more well known offerings.Pros:-Big sound.-Small footprint.-The switch function works nicely.-There are lots of input options.Cons:There is a slight hiss when powered on.The retail price point puts them next to some stiff competition.

Awesome hifi/studio speakers!
There is nothing to complain about regarding Vigilant's speakers. Don't be fooled by their size, they have punch, clarity and sound amazing whether I'm just listening to music on Spotify or if I'm creating music in my little home studio. Best thing though is their price! Give them a try, you won't regret it!

Amazing sound system for home desk setup
The media could not be loaded. I had intended to use these as backups for my dj setup but ended up switching it to my primary sound system for my desk and work setup.Pros:- it’s compact, looks modern and feels premium- the sound quality is simply great !- the connectivity between both speakers is done through 1 cable which makes it easy to setup it up in place- there are many connectivity options primarily aux and Bluetooth which is all I use anyways.- two sound mode directly on the speaker that can be altered with 1 switch . Hifi, is is what I use and makes any of the rap sound I listen to a lot clearer with an emphasis on the base and clarity which is simply awesome. The studio mode isn’t my preferred option but also the beats pop out differently .Cons:- I had some minor hiccups setting up the speakers in Bluetooth mode the first time and I’ve had it again recently so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong yet.- the speakers don’t have a battery so they need to be plugged in which is a bummer in my opinion.- both speakers are connected through a proprietary cable which isn’t something I have laying around the house. So I’ll need to order a new one in case I end up losing it.- the power cable is also proprietary and I wish it was just a simple usb type c cable.Overall I love this speaker and I totally recommend it for either a great home sound system or as a desk setup like I currently use it .
