Audio Dock

Have had one of these in a conference room for a couple of years, I think it was around £150-200ish when purchased and so I was stunned to see them going for less than £30. It’s not the loudest speaker you will ever hear, but it’s always good to see people double take when they hear some of the bass rumble from a compact speaker. It sounds great for teams calls and the mic sounds excellent if used within arms length and still sounds decent if used as a speaker around an 8 man boardroom table. As a dock it supports 2 monitors (1 HDMI and 1 over USB-C). There is a spare USB-A and USB-C port. I have used it to connect to a TV over HDMI, webcam mounted on the TV (long USB-C cable) and used a USB-C to Ethernet adapter to give a plug and go boardroom screen. I have one of these on my work desk now too for quick calls and some light Spotify when working late. You won’t be hosting any parties with this speaker, but it is loud enough for the task and doesn’t become distorted at full volume. Buttons are really useful too for volume and mute. The rubber matting underneath allows you to loop any excess cable nearly away…. Nice design. The one thing which might let you down is the USB-C PD power output. The power budget starts at 60W, but then you take 10w away for the speakers and a few watts off for each device you have plugged in and you can quickly get to around 40W total output. This is absolutely no problem if you are using a laptop like a Macbook Air or a Snapdragon powered laptop. Some PCs will show a “slow charging” message. I think that 15V is the max, so check the PD requirements of your laptop before ordering. Looks wise It is very modern and muted looking. At £100+ it is decent performer and worth a look. At £30 it is a must buy. I have recommended it to several people already and plan to pick it up up a few more for home and for stocking fillers.

Been trying multiple ways to hook up a MacBook/steam deck to a second monitor on my desk including a display link dock, steam deck docks and usb hubs with hdmi out, every one of them had issues with either charging, not supporting high refresh rates or artifacting in the case of display link and the usb hubs left a spaghetti mess of wires. Found this dock through a bargain site link and figured I'd give it a go, I have no use for teams but the other features seemed to be what I was after. I have it set up with a keyboard and mouse connected to the docks USB ports, HDMI cable to my monitor. I can then plug in the USB-c connector to whichever device I want to use giving me charging, audio and a keyboard/mouse for the device. this works great with both my MacBook and steam deck and supports 1440p @ 144hz. I was also surprised to see it works with my beelink mini pc in the same way via the front usb-c port. pros: - neat and tidy, all wires can be hidden behind what just looks like a small speaker with just one visible wire connected to whatever device you use it with. - charges your connected device up to 60w via the docks power supply - reasonably good sound output for the size of the speaker -mic quality seemed good in the limited testing I did of it over a discord chat - good video output options 1440p @ 144hz was no problem for this dock via just a single usb cable all while charging the device, outputting audio through the speaker and acting as a usb hub cons: - would be nice if the usb-c cable to the device was a little longer to give you more routing options - speaker isn't amazing but I dont think that's the purpose of the device, it is far better than monitor speakers though

Amazing, very pleased haved been struggling to find a dock that has a hdmi and type c input for display - the fact that it's a speaker and one of the only few devices that offers a one click mute button with an easy plug and play setup is a massive cherry on top. this is able to output 4k 60hz on the type c and qhd on the hdmi no issue. works well as a usb hub to, can easily switch all devices between home pc and work laptop quality is nice very good unboxing experience feels nice to get a good MS product for such a good price

Fantastic value, lets you throw away adapters, speakers and various other clutter from your desk and use this for connecting everything. Enables single-cable swapping between computers in order to use the same screen, mouse, keyboard, speaker, microphone, charger and an external drive. Very reliable too, excellent conferencing capabilities and very good sound for a small speaker. Charges USB laptops.

Complicated item with crap instructions

For the price this is amazing, it won't win any audio awards but it does exactly what it says it does, for someone that spends half their day on ms teams meetings I have had no issues, this just works. Installed no drivers required just plug and play. Worked so well I bought one for my wife's home setup as well.

Returned as not fit for what we needed

It works as a breeze. Might not be for those who are looking for a high power output. I am impressed
