JUST wanted a play/pause button that's always works for media no matter what else i'm doing.
I'm constantly getting frustrated at trying to pause a youtube or local video with the space bar only to find out that it's not in the foreground so it does nothing. This thing solved that with absolutely no hassle.Plug it in, makes the usb connect noise, NO DRIVERS NEEDED, it just starts working immediately. All the buttons act just like the median keys attached to some keyboards and laptop kb's as well. If I could have JUST bought the play/pause button I would have but this was pretty cheap at 20 bucks and made of aluminum (the front anyway) and the prev/next buttons are handy for music. The volume knob is FINE but they stuck a diffused blue led (the mark of the chinese beast) around the volume knob, luckily mine sits mostly in the light always and it's not OBNOXIOUSLY bright.I have no idea what the input/output audio jacks do. I believe they are standalone to pass cpu audio through to speakers or headphones, simply using one jack at a time does not provide audio to headphones or a recording jack. There is no listing in audio devices when this is plugged in so I'm guessing it's just a passthrough. It DOES come with a nice quality long trrs cable which i'll find use for in audio devices or synths. And the usb cable for it, type c even!, is PLENTY long, I have a lot of slack leftover bc it's plugged into a hub on my monitor.

Good Product, while it lasts
This product was everything i needed it to be, for a few months and then the volume dial stopped working. At first the fix was the typical unplug/replug in, but now i cant control volume at all. The multimedia buttons still work which is the only saving grace.

Good while it works, but doesn't have the build quality to last.
While it lasted, it was a pretty decent volume controller. It fulfilled its basic functions, didn't require any setup, and seemed reliable. Unfortunately, it began to fail a little under a year of usage. It still powers on but is no longer able to control volume. This is seemingly a rather common problem. Looking at the product page, 1Mii seems to blame poor contact due to repeated unplugging, but it will occur regardless. Even worse, it also occasionally adjusts my volume to 100% without me even touching it now.

It does it's job.
It's made of a weighty plastic with metal at the top.It feels like there's grooves as you turn the knob. And yes, it works with pandora, youtube, and Spotify. It can pause, skip or go back to different songs which you can do with you keyboard by holding FN and pressing the arrow keys. You can also change the volume by pressing and holding FN and pressing w, e, or R. But this is definitely quieter and feels better than that so if that's what you're looking for, then this is a good purchase for under $25.Keep in mind that the slower you change the audio knob, the faster it changes the audio.

Lasted a year... at least...
This felt like a solid product when I first opened it. The main issue I had with it while it was functioning for me was to turn the volume up and down... you had to do multiple full spins to have it noticeably effect the volume. I ended up using a small knob on my keyboard because it functioned better. The only thing I found myself using this for was the "Play/Pause" function. Before I go into it's current uselessness... know that this was used minimally in a dry and very clean environment. Unfortunately, a year after purchasing... it stopped functioning properly. It randomly changes the volume when it was working. The forward, backward and play/pause button also stopped. Unless you enjoy purchasing disposable technology and causing more e-waste, steer clear from this gem. If you need a separate knob other than what you might find on a nice keyboard, look elsewhere.

Pretty cool device
My use case is that for my 9-year old mom, I wanted something simple she can use to control the volume on her TVs... Finding the right button on her remote, which may vary by remote, is not the easiest thing for her, and a dial is easy for her to understand. The cool factor is the led light at the base of the dial. What I like is that it can be plugged directly into the device by USB cable and control is automatic. One odd thing is that on one of her TVs, it requires rotating the dial many times to affect the volume. It probably has something to do with the fact I have the TV hooked up to an Echo device for the speaker. What I found is that when hooked up to a Fire TV, the forward and back buttons move to the next and previous videos in YouTube... and for Plex, it advances or rewinds in the video you are playing. The odd thing about Plex is that it advances or rewinds by seconds... So you have to keep the button depressed for a while to advance like 10 minutes. I also like the fact that you can also hook it up to 3.5mm inputs and outputs, so I need to try it out on another one of her TVs where I have the output hooked up by a 3.5mm connection. This way I can have the same device for all of her TVs. Currently I have a different dial set up for USB controlled volumes and a different dial set up for her 3.5mm speaker.

Solid, but It will break eventually
It feels hefty in the hands, I like how solidly built it feels. Works great for a couple of months but eventually the knob stops working. I would buy a different manufacturer seeing as how everyone else is having the same issue.
