Petrodex Dental Kit for Cats, Malt Flavor Toothpaste, 2.5 Oz

My cat loves this toothpaste! He hates me cleaning his teeth and pulls away after I manage to gently clean a fang or two - but he quickly comes back for more due to the product’s tasty (and addictive?) properties. My technique is to lift his top lip and brush his front teeth (this takes a few goes to get everywhere methodically) and then stick the brush in a bit further and let him chew/clean his rear teeth. The long toothbrush is a great bonus and a necessary alternative to those little rubber finger puppets you usually get. It’s not until you pull back your cats lips that you realise how bloody scary their teeth are! Anyways ... regarding effectiveness, this is the best cat toothpaste I’ve used so far! My cat had a truly foul, pungent fishy breath, despite being on a dry food diet, that you would gag on every time he licked his fur while sat in your lap. After one week of daily use (yes ... I know it says 2-3 times per week), his breath is markedly improved - still not kissable, but then I’m not that way inclined anyway. It works! Yay!

Bought this as my cat had very sore gums and wasnt eating for a week. He loves this toothbrush And I noticed this toothpaste is much more effective than other we have used (bearphar). Saved us from bery costly anaesthetic and teeth clean. Using regularly

Great product but hard to get cats to brush teeth

My cat wasn’t eating, losing weight realised she had toothache. Started brushing with this once a day and she is now happy and healthy. Great product. Saved me lots of money in vet bills. Cats love the flavour. No dribbling. They swallow paste toothbrush is excellent

I decided to buy this product because the design and advise given was by a vet. Well my cat loves having his teeth cleaned with this brush , lovely and small and doesn’t seem to mind the flavour, because of my advise my friend is now cleaning her small dogs teeth and that also is working well for her. The brush is a perfect size. Very very pleased with this product as is my cat.

Cat seems to like the flavour, certainly doesn’t object too much at the process. Brush is a great size for her mouth. Finger toothbrush I don’t really use prefer the brush. Only just started to use it so cannot comment yet about the efficacy of the product.

My cat is the type which doesn't like to be picked up , held or allow you to groom her in anyway possible! Although she resists me brushing her teeth (I use the finger brush as I feel theres more control as opposed to the toothbrush) she begrudgingly licks all the toothpaste off whilst still trying to escape from me! I think she loves the taste of the toothpaste but not what the process involves! I don't know how well I manage to actually "brush" her teeth but I'm pretty good at brushing her canines and smothering her mouth with the rest of the toothpaste in the process - which she then just licks off so hopefully still gets on some of the other teeth and does what it needs to do!

This is a great kit to get if your cat has bad gums. The vet recently told me my kitten had a form of gingivitis that has nothing to do with age - more genetic. His top left gums were very red and raw. I immediately went online and checked out pet toothbrushes and tooth paste. I got this kit and my kitten's teeth are now totally pink and healthy after 2 weeks of daily brushing. He likes having his teeth brushed now since he loves the taste of this tooth paste. It is Malt flavored. This saved my kitten from having to have his teeth cleaned by a vet and also from losing his teeth. I am so pleased with the results. I will now use every day since it helped him so much and is well worth the money!

El pedido llegó con retraso por el Covit19, el vendedor me dijo que esperara y me llegó sin problemas. Esperaba que el producto fuera como es, aunque el dedal es un poco grande, pero la pasta y el cepillo son adecuados, a mi gata no le ha parecido malo, le ha gustado el olor de la pasta, y el cepillo, se rasca con él los cachetes, pero todavía no la he cepillado como se debe xq no sé bien como hacerlo.

I’ve been using this toothpaste for the past few months and my cats have adapted quickly to it. They seem to enjoy the taste! The brush seems a little on the harder side so I don’t use it. Highly recommend the pack!

I usually get chicken flavor for my cats but I tried the malt listening to other reviews and my kitty loves it!! So far it’s working well but I haven’t been using it super long. Easy to use since it’s enzymatic.
