There is a chip out of the inside of the lid. Kept it because it's not visible from the outside but took the shine off the purchase

ahhh, tis the bestest teapot this side of china.. lol I wondered at how much it would hold.. well, 3 willow pattern mugs pus a tiny bit.. not bad.. in fact very good.. an I say it is the thickest teapot I have felt since i was little girl when they made teapots to hold heat.. yep a very good buy.. cheers hmac
