Fits my K45SS perfectly. Stout and heavy. A real tool that feels like it will outlast me!! It took about one minute to do the "dime test" and adjust the KA for a perfect fit. Even better is the design. This thing cuts butter into flour better than any paddle I've ever used (and I have five different stand mixers, each with a paddle.) I was on the fence since this is considerably more money than a coated or painted one, but I'm so glad I spent the extra cash. I got cheap when I purchased a replacement dough hook that was coated and it chipped literally the first time I used it. Now I'm having to send it back and get the stainless steel version. Good thing is that I'll NEVER have to replace either. If you are going "dang that's a lot more money for a paddle", just stop and buy this. If you use your mixer even occasionally you'll be glad you did.

I just acquired my kitchen aid mixer and was reading different instructions and what the different attachments were for. I decided to purchase a blade that would cut butter into flour to make it a little easier to make pie crust. I haven’t tried it yet but it feels very well made and it fits onto my mixer just fine. I had read reviews stating that the beaters didn’t mix all the ingredients very well so I was excited to read that there is some adjustments that can be made to help with this problem.

This does work for a 4.5-5 quart KitchenAid mixer and this is the type of bowl that it works with. The paddle is the same size as the original, but because the shaft is shorter, it is about 1/4 inch off the normal bottom of the bowl, but it works just fine. I have always had to stir with a rubber spatula, so it isn't that much of a difference. I replaced my white plastic wrapped KitchenAid beater because, like everyone else who put it in the dishwasher, IT IS PEELING. Problem solved and I can put it in the dishwasher, without ruining it. Until KitchenAid improves their paddle, this one is a must. If you aren't sure if it will work for your mixer model, just measure the water it takes to fill up your bowl to make sure you have the 4.5-5 quart bowl that this is made for.

Very good replacement for the original one that came with our mixer. Just as others have mentioned, it needed to be just a bit longer because it doesn't get to the bottom of the bowl like the original. Even another 1/4 inch would have been better. The best part is that no enamel chips off like with the original.

It’s stainless steel so it can be put in the dishwasher, unlike the pieces that come with the mixer.

A very good replacement for original equipment. blends well even though design is slightly different from original Kitchen Aid mixer blade.

This is a great, heavy-duty paddle for my Kitchenaid. My original paddle was chipping white paint. Works great.
