This product is amazing
I recently had the pleasure of using the Alpha Grip floor coating, and I must say, it has truly exceeded my expectations. Alpha grip has not only transformed the appearance of my patio space but has also proven to be incredibly durable. I first installed this on my outdoor patio to test a few things: Grip, which it has absolutely exceeded my expectations. Appearance, which I was a bit apprehensive at first to coat outdoor concrete. I certainly do not regret taking that lunge. Lastly, I built a pickleball court at my house. After doing extensive research and narrowing my coating options down to a few products, this one certainly stood out. Its a water base acrylic product, which makes application a DIY...I don't have to spend thousands having a professional install other expensive acrylic materials. After testing this product, I moved forward and coated my entire pickleball court, and I could not be more happy with the results. It provides incredible grip as well as durability. Highly recommend this product.

Perfect application and has survived Wisconsin summer
I made the mistake of purchasing tape. Don't waste your money if you live in Wisconsin-like weather. It didn't last a month. This paint isn't going anywhere soon. I will write back after a winter passes by.

Great traction for smooth concrete
Reviewing Alpha Grip Non-Slip Paint (Pickleball Blue, Quart) for Concrete, Our garage is polished concrete. It’s super slippery when wet, which is frequently in the winter, due to snow being drug in the garage on tires and feet. The worst spot is about a 4” strip at the edge of the garage, where snows lay against the garage door, right where we turn around with the snow blower. We eventually plan on painting the whole garage floor, but that will entail moving everything outside of the garage for a few days, including the vehicles. For now, we’ve only painted that strip, since it’s the most hazardous spot. This paint works perfectly. It definitely adds plenty of texture and makes it highly unlikely to slip where the paint is. We ordered pickleball blue and the color is a deep blue, just like you see on the courts. We cleaned the strip well with a power washer & degreaser, waited for it to dry, and applied the paint with a roller, after marking off our strip with frog tape. It came out beautifully. When we are ready to finish the rest of the garage, we’ll be using Slip Doctors again.

So far, so good
I used this to paint an anti-slip surface on RV steps. I had to push the temperature requirements a little (it was 60° F at the time) which I did by warming the steps up with a heat gun. So far it is sticking. The texture is good (make sure to stir the paint well) and provides a secure traction. I like that the color helps highlight the steps, at least in daylight. Time will tell whether this holds up.

This stuff is absolutely amazing
So we just got this in today and already put it to work. We painted steps going down to our basement and concrete and my wife loves it so I would say that’s a win.

Easy and Grippy
We have a very large 4-car carport that has a sealed concrete floor -- a floor that gets extremely slippery when any water gets on it (like from a wet car, or wind-blown rain). We used this to make 3' wide pathways in and along half of the carport (we planned to test it on half, and then make any application adjustments if necessary.)Short story:This works super well! Went on almost as easy as household paint, and super grippy -- can't slip if you tried!Long story:I searched their website and eventually called the company to ask about applying to already sealed concrete. They said that as long as I used a good concrete primer, there should be no problem with adhesion. We washed down the concrete with washing soda to remove an oil or grime, gave it a day to dry. Then we applied one coat of a good concrete primer brand (the one with 1-2-3 in the name) and let it dry, and then applied a single coat of the Alpha Grip the same afternoon. One coat is definitely enough -- even applying black coating over white primer. The black color is super-super deep black, I have never seen anything like it! The coating is basically like a paint with small sand-like particles suspended in it. The thickness seems a little thinner than paint, and adding that there is "sand-like" grit suspended in it, makes it a little prone to splattering if you go too fast or have it on the roller too thick. That said, it covers very, very well and easily if you take your time.I covered a little over 100 square feet of walking path with the coating, and used almost 1/3 of the can -- so we'll probably get about 350 square feet of coverage, which is a little shy of the 400 square feet that they say on the can.It recommends a day or two of dry time, but we allowed a full week to cure before driving cars over it (mid-size sedan and mid-size SUV). After a month of walking over on the coating and occasional driving over the surface there has been no sign of peeling, loose grit, or other signs of wearing down. (We do not park our cars on the coating, since hot tires tend to peel any coating.)As mentioned, the grit makes it very, very slip resistant. That, and the ease of application makes this an excellent product. The price seems a little high, but one cannot argue with the effectiveness. Given that a slip on slick concrete would cost much more than a couple gallons of Alpha Grip, I'd say this is well worth the price.

Grip paint: perfect for asphalt
I highly recommend reading the application instructions from Alpha Grip's own website, as they put a lot of thought, insight and even tips into their literature. We tried this product on our basement concrete. The surface prep we followed the instructions to a tee. The application was challenging in continuing to mix the paint constantly to avoid the aggregate (the tiny chunks that provide the grip) from settling to the bottom. In such a smooth surface such as cute basement concrete, I would warmly recommend a product without texture. Otherwise, prepare to invest in more coats to ensure an even aggregate coverage if aesthetics are especially important.I can see this grip paint being absolutely perfect for asphalt outside (e.g. a basketball court, lines for parking stalls in a parking lot) where there is already a rougher texture by design, or even as contrast / grip lines at the edges of concrete steps outside to prevent slips and falls. The colour I must say is beautiful and exactly as advertised. There are no harsh odors whatsoever and curing time was fast.Unfortunately on a smooth surface like basement concrete we've noticed the paint can chip off the surface if knocked; without a texture underneath it to hold onto it, in some cases the paint has partially rubbed off while running barefeet on it.Given our disappointing experience in our basement, one of the brand owners actually took the time to reach out to me and helped us find a good resolution, which shows great care on their behalf.I will rate this 3/5 stars, given that it would be beautiful and super effective outdoors, and their customer care is remarkable. The colour is beautiful and there are no bad odours. However for its application on smooth indoor concrete, where not only colour but even texture aesthetics are important, I would personally recommend you calling this company for them to provide perhaps another more specific product recommendation in their product line for this purpose, or if they have other surface prep instructions not yet in their manual, for instance if acid etching of the surface for it to hold on to the paint better -- at the time of writing I don't know.Great product, but I advise care be taken to be selective on what types of surfaces and maybe give them a call to make sure you are looking at a product that will work for your surface type, as they have an extensive product line. Thank you for the superb customer care.
