Great puppet.

I first saw this in John Lewis while we were visiting family at the other end of the country, and my little one loved it! We ended up leaving it as it really it is for ages 3+, and my little one is under 1. However, we decided to look for it a few weeks later on Amazon and found this one, and decided to buy anyway, and we use it to put on puppet shows for our little one, without letting him get too close to it! One of the main reasons it's for 3+ is that you do just have to look at it and bits of fluff start flying! So naturally, we don't want our little one sticking it in his mouth and coughing up a hairball. But that is the only drawback! It's brilliant - there's plenty of space to get an adult hand into the beak, and as you open the beak it makes a cawing sound, which is fantastic as you can make it sound like it's laughing and gets massive smiles and giggles from our son! Other than the fluff going everywhere (which looking at it, come on, it's to be expected), the quality of the piece is really good, and the bright colours are very eye catching! Would definitely recommend - the entertainment value is priceless!

I bought this product as a teaching tool (i teach 4 and 5 year olds). It arrived looking better than I expected, it's brightly coloured and fluffy which is appealing to children. The sound comes out easily and it is comfortable to use as a puppet for a long time as there is plenty of room inside for an adult hand. It has feet at the bottom which makes it look more realistic as you can have it sitting on your lap and the children can see the whole bird rather than it ending abruptly at its stomach. The children know that "macaulay the macaw" comes out during maths sessions as he is the "counting bird" (who isn't very good at counting) the children just love helping him to count properly and are really kind to him when he gets it wrong. I have already gotten so much mileage out of this toy.

The puppet is perfect for our school production. It fits an 11 year old well covering their forearm completely. The puppet is very high quality and makes a squawking sound when the beak is pressed. Would highly recommend!

Der Papagei ist sehr schön und auch gut bespielbar.Sein seinem buntes Farbenkleid zieht er alle Blicke auf sich. Er ist Im Gegensatz zu anderen Rezensionen hält das Fell bei mir fest und verliert keine Haare. Gute Qualität und Verarbeitung. Das Quietschgeräusch wird von mir entfernt, da ich ich es als sehr gross empfinde, ständig ein Plastikgeräusch knistert und der Schnabel nicht ohne Geräuschkulisse bewegt werden kann. Es wäre für mich besser, wenn der Rabe mit den Kindern sprechen und das Quietschen unabhängig von der Schnabelbewegung betätigt werden könnte. Im Ganzen finde ich die Figur aber toll

We love this puppet. It was a gift for our granddaughter. We continue to be impressed by the size, construction, and appearance. The bright colored plumage is a hit. The built-in voice box was a great surprise. Wonderful puppet. All puppets should be like this.
