This is so good for anyone living where the temperatures can hit sub zero. I used this during that cold snap whenever I was outside longer than 3-4 minutes. It is super warm and has great coverage, Easy to put on or take off and works well with my parka.

What I like most is that it gives it of warmth. I bought it because it’s so cold now and the good thing about it. It’s that both me and my husband can wear it. Good quality

This was perfect during the cold weather. It was very easy to put on and take off. Kept the ears and face nice, warm and snuggly. Very comfortable to wear and was breathable material too!

I've used a stand-alone hood for about 10 years and loved my original so much I bought fabric after a year or two, to recreate the head covering, out of fear I'd lose the first, and not be able to find replacement. This item's hood is very good, but different in a few key areas. This item is stylish, where my previous hood was all function. The yarn looks to be three different colors to create an attractive flecked appearance. The cut is wider which is an important improvement. I always put on the hood, and then a hat to go under. This item adds room to easily flip over my sailor type winter skull hat, where the old one constantly pushed the hat off, until after a couple of tries. I was afraid the extra space would create a cold pocket around my head, but that didn't materialize. Probably because the fabric folds on itself when in place, or because below the neckline, the hood becomes two flap-like layers. I think I would have preferred a wide flare of just one layer. The two layers worked to keep me warm, but they weren't giving me the ideal 'tucked-in' feeling. The draw string is shoestring style, with metal crimped ends that look to be high quality, again, for the sake of style, but I'm going to find a plastic button clasp and add that for function.Both pieces of this two piece set came clean and scent free. I'm highly allergic, and wash all my clothes before I wear them new, but I actually felt confident enough to make an exception in this case.The second item of the set is a neck covering, which doesn't constitute a traditional Balaclava, but that's for another discussion. I found the neck piece constrictive, bulky, seamy, and inflexible for my liking. I've only used a neck cover a season or two previously, but comparing the two styles I already had, this one is unusable.

I love the idea and concept of this, especially since I live in mountains of Washington state so, it’s a tad bit cold up here in the winters. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star is because it is rather large, it doesn’t fit entirely too well for a female, a larger male it fits perfect! So you could imagine my disappointment as my hubby took it over lol. It’s well made, strong Velcro and is so comfy! The only thing he complained about is that he couldn’t put his baseball cap over it because it is a bit insulated and thick.

Most of these style Balaclavas come as one piece and surprisingly this one was two pieces. Allowing me to decide to wear this for multiple purposes.I do a lot of Ice Fishing in the winter and wanted something that can come on and off easily. I have a hoard of these things and still haven't found that "perfect one". This one may be close honestly. The outer shell is large and fits well. I've been told I have a larger head and to have it fit so loose/comfortable is very nice.The inner lining provides the warmth you want on those miserable days but is tight. I know it needs to be, but tight is maybe not a good enough word to describe this thing. I joked that I was coming through the birth canal the first time I put it on. Only reason for a 4 star, If this product was just the outer hood I'd have given it a 5 star and would still pay the asking price.I may pair the outside hood with a more comfortable gator and have the winning combination for my fishing trips coming up here.Very happy and have convinced other friends already to buy one just for the outer hood alone after they tried it on.

Bought this for my fiance for work and he used it alot during the winter, he said it helped with the cold.
