Works perfectly
I bought this to replace the old style with the toggle switch on it. So far it has worked exactly as one would hope. I used it for several friend and family vehicles as well (Nobody likes the ridiculous stop/start. Side note: my opinion is that everyone should disable that function. It doesn't help anything and wears your parts out faster. Just my thoughts). FYI if you haven't used FORscan yet, make sure you do your research and don't change anything if you don't know exactly what it does. You can seriously screw up your vehicle! Anyway, I would definitely buy this unit

Must have for any Ford DIY mechanic
As the title says, this is a must-have for any Ford DIY mechanic. It's very easy to use and works very well with Ford OBD2 programs. The fact that it automatically switches from Ms scan to HS scan and vice versa is wonderful. The protocol that this uses makes any updates and usage very easy when working on a vehicle. I personally used it to flash a firmware update during an ECM swap. Everything went flawlessly and I have recommended it to several people already. The price is also extremely reasonable and when combined with the Ford diagnostic programs available to consumers, this is a no-brainer.

Bought for my superduty
I bought this to use forscan on my superduty as the cheap elm327 one didn’t work very long. So far it works great and is recommended by forscan on their website.

Worked to swap ECMs on 2008 F-150
I used it along with the licensed version of FORSCAN beta 2.4 on my windows 10 laptop. Was able to download as built data into a used ECM and also successfully programmed PATS using the keys already had. So for less than the cost of a preprogrammed PCM From a rebuilder I went to a junk yard to get a used ECM then used this Dongle with ForSCAN (must be the paid license version and beta software for 04-08 fords at least in my finding) and I downloaded the calibrations out of the bad original ECM, then installed them onto the junkyard unit all using this device from Amazon it was well worth the cost. Could be used for customizing features and calibration as well but the 04-08 style ECMs do not offer much aside from 4x4 gear ratio and tire size settings for the Speedo calibration. Newer trucks have much more capability with this tool combined with the software forscan..Oh and it isn't exactly fail proof there is potential to brick your PCM and I recommend you have significant knowledge with technology and how computers work and know how easy one can suddenly be rendered not to work without literally having to take it to a dealer or someone with more specialty tools and highly expensive ford licensed software

Works well but requires USB2 hub to work on MacBook Pro running Windows
This worked well on my Mustang Mach-E to make changes to some of the module configurations. Initially the OBD2 scanner wasn't recognized on my 16" MacBook Pro running Windows 10 under bootcamp. Reading online I found that some people had luck using a USB2 hub between the computer and the OBD2 scanner. Once i did that it worked. It seems the scanner cannot negotiate with the USB C port on the MacBook without an intermediate hub. If you're using the scanner with a traditional Windows laptop, you're unlikely to have this issue.

Met my expectations
I’m not expert on this topic but I was told that I needed an adapter scanner to program new keys for my ford vehicle , so I was recommended this product, and sure enough it worked with no problems, awesome!
